5.0 out of 5 stars Great sound for the price!
I replaced the blown out paper OEM speakers in my 2003 GMC Savana with these. Of course they immediately sounded better than the stock speakers, and continue to sound better every day.

3.0 out of 5 stars They Are What They Are
These Are $30 Speakers... If You Expect Huge Bass, OR Crystal Clear Sound, I Suggest You Increase Your Budget. If Not, Then Run With Them, They Are A Decent Speaker For The Money

4.0 out of 5 stars good, inexpensive speakers, January 16, 2011

These Kenwoods are installed in a 2004 Trailblazer with the stock radio and provide a much improved sound quality over the stock speakers. I was looking for fairly inexpensive speakers that weren't going to be amped, and these speakers fit the bill.

I would say these 6.5"s are great for factory replacement speakers or for systems with no external amplification. Sound great in my doors. Very recommended at this great price.

This review is from: Kenwood KFC-1652S 6.5-Inch 160 Watt Max Power Dual Cone Speaker System (Electronics)
First Yes They need a break in period reason being the speaker is stiff as hell but after about five to ten songs the speakers lighten up and show off there stuff. I Dont Know What the other people are saying when there horrible and don sound good either there Head Unit is Garbage or dont have them hook up correctly.

FYI to me there wonderful i use to buy kickers all the time and since my car has kenwood inside i wanted to keep it that way and to my suprise these Bad Boys are right up there with Them

For the money, these are great. They hit the lows alright, the mids are nice, but the highs aren't that great. These get 4 stars because they are a cost effective replacement for stock speakers that will not blow out with deck powering them

These speakers are great for the price, and an OEM replacement. Don't get discouraged right after you install them. hardly any bass, but after a week or two... an amazing difference!!! I never believed speakers had to "break in", but now I do. Excellent product. Highly recommend

1.0 out of 5 stars What 6 1/2 inches?, July 8, 2011
This review is from: Kenwood KFC-1652S 6.5-Inch 160 Watt Max Power Dual Cone Speaker System (Electronics)
When someone tells you something is 6 1/2 inches and it's really only 5, it's usually part of a male's anatomy. In this case, it's Kenwood's stock sounding "upgrade" speaker. Why does every manufacturer of every product have to lie about the product? Just say they are 5" speakers and I would have been fine with that. The sound btw, is noticeably less than my blown Phoenix Gold 6.5" (a real 6.5) that's been sitting in the Texas heat of my garage for 14 years. The only reason I'm keeping these, is because the shipping cost almost as much as the speakers, and Amazon won't refund it, otherwise they'd be going back. L.A.M.E.

p.s. if they had been advertised as 5" speakers, I'd rate them a 3 cause they are OK and totally comparable to the 5" speakers I bought for 5 dollars.
