I have this nice sub bridged to a pioneer 760 watt amp at 380 rms in a .75 cubic foot sealed box. this sub is nice sounding and hits the lows very nicely...however u want to rattle your car apart this sub wont do that...but it will rattle it...alot. I really think this sub should be in a ported box about 1.75 cubic feet, im gonna try that next...i have a 2000 honda accord with this sub, 2 pioneer 6x9 speakers, and 2 pioneer 6 1/2 speakers...system sounds very nice, the sub is wonderful and is totally worth buying...it has very good design from the voice coil to the double stacked magnets, very durable and totally worth buying!

2 of these in a ported box sound very good. i am running 2 at 500watts, on a highend amp, and i could not be more happy. the entire car shakes. PLEASE NOTE, ofcourse these will not sound like Alpine or JL subs, people are buying these subs, and expecting to get DVC $250 subs. they are idiots. these are perfect for the price, and you will not find better subs for the price, but if you have the money, or have a limited amount of room, 2 of these subs sound about the same as 1 alpine type r in either 10 or 12 inch, but 2 of these is cheaper then 1 alpine R.

i install atleast 20 systems a month, and you will not find better subs for the price. but you can not compare them to professional, very high end subs that cost 8X more money.

These subs can safely handle about 400watts RMS each, and I am running them at a mere 500watts total. They hit hard and sound great as long as you tune the amp correctly (STOP USING BASS BOOSTERS! IT KILLS SOUND QUALITY AND CREATES DISTORTION AT LOW VOLUME LEVELS!) Anyway, they add enough thump for the average person. You may want to find an amplifier with more power if you like it really loud or simply find some subs that can handle more power (in the 500-750watts rms range) and pair them with a more powerful amp as well.

Not bad for a $42 subwoofer. It hits hard and clean in a sealed box. Although it's rated at 400W RMS, I never felt comfortable giving it more than about 200W because of how hot it got in a sealed box. It's probably fine in a ported box where it gets some air flow. I had to cut the magnet cover off because it made a horrible rattling noise at high volume. After removing the cover I bent the terminals so the tinsels didn't slap against the cone. Overall it performs well and looks nice after a little modification.

These were my first subs and my favorite subs. Had 2 with a sealed box and a Jensen 900 watt amp (cost about 250 for everything) and let me tell you.. I have honestly liked them better than my Kickers. These give the PERFECT bass you need for when you want to really hit a hard bass song or when just listening to a song with a little kick to it. My friend currently has these subs and hasn't changed them yet, and I have gone through Xplodes and kicker comps and I want these back already. MUST BUY!

I have had plenty of subs, from Kicker to Alpine and these subs sound amazing and have great sound. I was astonished on how well they hit every note. The best way to make these subs sound good is to set it so the frequency is at 75-82 and have everything replicate that. So, if you have a head unit that has a sub frequency option on it, set it to 80 and have the amp around the same. If you do that.....These subs will blow your mind and you would never think that with what you are paying. This is no joke. I wasn't surprised to find out that this sub was rated best quality and best sounding in the budget class. But let me tell you ....You would never think it was. ALl of my buddies were like your subs sound great, you must have spent money on nice ones. I just smiled and laughed in my head.

Trust me...You will not be disappointed. I do suggest that you break these subs in and play them at about half volume for about 3 weeks for the best sound.

i bought the kfc w3012 for 41$ w/ shipping and built a box 1.27cu ft witch is slightly above recomended. sound great for price. this sub is great for a budget. and plays all genres. i would of liked to see rubber instead of the foam stuff surrounding

This kenwood sub is great! in my mind you can not get a better woofer for the price. i have it in a vented box and it sounds great. have not hooked it up in the car yet, just to the home theater, about 75-100 watts and it barley moves but it slames. one great sub. very stiff cone. great quality and excellent bass reproduction. would recommend to anyone looking for a awesome sub at a great price. you have got to get this sub!

$40 subwoofer...performance of $100's subwoofer?!?!?! This is my first amazon purchase review. I am blown away with the size, power, low-cost of this performance sub. I have my sub amp turned to about 67% gain, and subwoofer setting on headunit at 5 of possible 15. It is so powerful, loud, clean, that I had to lower the power to this sub. I am very happy with this purchase.

The speakers were delivered very fast. They came in excellent condition. I like them very much a little scared to turn them up, afraid of blowing them. Not as much power as I had hoped but for the price it was a good buy.
