this unit is great you just have to remember to switch the control button to which mode you want to be in for the price it's great

I use this with my Kenwood P-NAV514 Video/Navigation Pack with KVT-514 and KNA-G510. Nice to be able to use this instead of navigating the sometimes difficult menu structure in the Kenwood. Son loves the back seat control as well.

Works as described. Can't believe that Kenwood didn't actually include a controller. Very convenient. I would definitely reccommend this to anyone.

Almost have to have this for the Kenwood radio. The radio itself has a tough menu system and the remote makes it simpler. However, you have to pay close attention to the side slide for which mode you are in, especially while driving down the road. The lettering for the DVD in red is tough to read even standing still. It is still better than trying to manipulate the menu system on the radio. I use it mainly to operate the DVD for my headrests in the back or to change radio channels and volume on long trips, rather than reaching over the truck dash to constantly change it.

well like the title says it works with no programming needed. i dont understand why you have to buy the remote separately from the kenwood radio you buy. if kenwood makes the remote that works with alot of their dvd recievers they should just package it with the radio. but this is the wrong place to complain about that. but anyways im happy with it. i dont see why people are complaining about its size. its fits comfortably in my hand and doesnt weigh much.

It's a remote, so there's not much to review. The buttons are easy to use and the joystick is a nice touch. I was, however, a bit surprised at the thickness of the controller. The thickness does not make it heavy though, so it's not a big deal.

Great remote, the buttons are easy to find even in the dark. I like the additional features of this remote,it make it easy to use the Kenwood system...

A few months ago I had a Kenwood DDX-512 installed in my car. The car touch screen stereo is awesome and I thought it would be nice to have a remote. This remote works excellent. I ordered it on a Saturday and I got home from work on Tuesday it was at my doorstep. No complaints here at all. I dig this new remote!!!!

Its a remote, don't expect any surprises. So far it has average range, if unobstructed. wiht my headunit i had to set soem features to allow highlighting so i can see what i'm controling via my remote! overall well worth the price!
