7-Inch LCD Touchscreen
The heart of the KVT-719DVD is its brilliant 7-inch TFT Active Matrix display. Enjoy high-quality video and intuitive touchscreen control of the device's advanced Graphic User Interface. Customize the screen using JPEG images added from your USB thumb drive for a personalized effect.
The Z-action open/close mechanism with tilt angle and back & forth position control keeps your screen tucked away when not in use, and the detachable security faceplate gives you added piece of mind when you're not with the vehicle.
Enjoy Your Favorite Media
The KVT-719DVD lets you play your favorite CDs and DVDs, along with several digital audio and video formats.
The unit accepts DVD, DVD+R/RW, DVD-R/RW, CD, CD-R/RW, VCD and CD-DA discs. It plays back AAC-LC, MP3 and WMA audio files; MPEG1, MPEG2 and DivX video files; and can display JPG images. Throw your files on a disc or a USB device and you're all set to enjoy them in your vehicle.
You can also listen to the AM/FM radio. Use Auto Memory to automatically add stations with good reception to presets, or enter them manually. The DNX5120 also displays FM radio text when available, traffic information, and allows you to enter station names.
About DivX
DivX is a popular media technology created by DivX, Inc. DivX media Files contain highly compressed video with high visual quality that maintains a relatively small file size. Seamless Connection with iPod Video/Audio
Connect an iPod using the optional KCA-iP300V cable to enable full video (for iPods with video capability) and/or audio control. You'll supply power to your iPod as well as charge it while you enjoy your music.
USB Direct Control
You can enjoy your favorite music, video or images from USB devices like flash drives or MP3 players. When connecting a USB device, playback starts automatically. When a battery-powered USB device like an MP3 player is connected to this unit, it also gets a charge, so it's ready to go with you when you exit the vehicle.
Input and Output
In addition to the iPod and USB support, you can use the KVT-719DVD's auxiliary A/V input to connect external audio/video sources like video game systems.
The unit also features an A/V output for sending content to an additional screen in the vehicle.
Finally, you'll get a dedicated rear camera input. Install a rear camera for added safety and convenience.
Navigation Ready
Add the KNA-G510 for a full GPS navigation package. The DNX5120 allows you to enjoy SIRIUS (requires CA-SR20V + Sirius SC-C1 Tuner) or XM (requires KCA-XM100V + XM Mini Tuner) radio in your vehicle. Enjoy a multitude of channels featuring music, news, talk shows, sports and traffic information with CD quality sound.
You can also add an HD Radio tuner. When you connect an HD Radio, Tuner features of the unit are disabled and changed to HD Radio tuner features.

I bought and installed this head unit; it took 14 hours with all the cables, accessories, and removal of vehicle parts (seats, consoles,etc). Overall, the unit works well in all but one aspect. I have a rearview camera, gps, bluetooth, usb thumb, apple ipod, amp, and of course quality speakers connected. The only issue I have is with the BT100 I connected to it. Not sure though if it is the BT100, the interface with the 719, or just my cellphone compatability. It does take some patience getting all other accessories to interface correctly, and I wouldn't say the manual is great.
The screen is very good including the tilt feature and if you have a steady hand, you can use the little silver circular button controller. The remote is a plus too as it does many things; if you can remember all functions. A good compromise to higher end head units, and it fits all in 1-DIN with a removable faceplate.

This receiver works great with an Ipod and has great video quality! Great buy! I've owned it for about three years now. I had to replace because it was stolen. So it last as well!

Expensive stereo with low quality CD eject mechanism,

Full featured stereo system, once you buy all the add-ons ($$$). The screen is nice-sized. I recommend the Navigation add-on.
I had to send it back to the factory for a stuck CD, and after getting it back, another CD got stuck after just a little bit of use. My CD's are clean and original disks. There is no reason for this to happen. This is why I give it a lower score.
