It is the ceramics vase and handmade in Japan. Kenzan Yamamoto was born and raised in the city of Mino where the techniques of handcrafted ceramics are inherited for over 400 years. The city is well known for Mino Ware (Momoyama Pottery), a pilgrimage to the birthplace of some of Japan's greatest ceramic wares. The major Mino Ware styles are Shino, Ki-Seto (Yellow Seto) and Setoguro (Black Seto)., Oribe, and tenmoku wares. His work is particularly influenced by "oribe" ceramics which features are asymmetric and geometric shape designs.
