5.0 out of 5 stars More Intimate Than "This Is Where I Came In" Video, February 27, 2002
This review is from: Keppel Road - The Life and Music of the Bee Gees [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This 1997 biography touches on the early years of the Gibb's with the brothers actually visiting their old haunts in England and recounting the days before they immigrated to Australia. It is full of nostalgia and little know facts. There are even old family film images. Of course, their entire career is discussed with some old footage and older songs.

Much of the video delves into the songwriting process of the three brothers while in their studio. It's an amazing glimpse into the genius that produces the hits. Several of the songs from the CD "Alone" are in 'video format' here as well. Overall, a nice companion piece video for the later "This Is Where I Came In".

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful!, June 14, 2003

As a long time fan of the Bee Gees, it was impossible for me to pass this video. Watching Barry, Robin and Maurice go back to their childhood home and watching their career up and downs was really enjoyable. Listening to them talk about their lives, the highs and the heartaches, one realizes that these three guys are just "Ordinary People" doing something extraordinary. I especially enjoyed watching them work in the studio and explain how they write a song. And, of course, the performances are great. They are all very talented songwriters and performers, and is is so sad to know that there will never be any new songs written by or with the assistance of Maurice Gibb. He is greatly missed by this fan.

I totally agree with the previous review, this is a great video on the Bee Gees. I especially enjoyed the segments on how they compose their music. They all have such great personalities and they really come through on this video. I loved it so much I'm buying another copy for a friend of mine who is also a Bee Gee fan. But fan or no fan this is a must have for anyone who enjoys their music. You will have a new found respect for these three guys. I also have a copy of The Bee Gees Going Home which I recorded off the Disney channel back in 1979-1980. My copy is totally worn out now, but if anyone knows where I can get my hands o a copy please let me know. This was another great documentary on the Gibb Brothers lives.
