5.0 out of 5 stars You'll pat yourself on the back for discovering Keri Noble
I had never heard of Keri Noble when the CD cover caught my eye in the store. What a find! Noble combines smoky, jazzy, bluesy vocals with clear, honest, compelling lyrics to deliver a musical experience on par with Norah Jones. That she wrote or co-wrote every track on the CD makes that experience even more rewarding. You'll be hooked from the start.

That about says it. There were a few songs I thought were very good, and a few I didn't much like at all. Most of the rest were sort of ho-hum. "Watch Me Walk", "Red Wine Til Daylight", "Go Proud" and "Remember My Name" being the most memorable. These songs really are high caliber, and show that Keri has quite the set of pipes on her. The rest of the album just can't seem...

I highly recommend any and all of Keri's CDs. I was given her bootleg CD recorded live at the MN Zoo for Christmas (it's on her site) and I don't think it's left my CD player until this CD came out... now I'm simply alternating back and forth between the two! I've attended several of Keri's concerts and her voice, even when she was having allergy issues, will simply blow you away! The girl has lungs! Some favorites of mine include Piece of My Heart, I Won't, Life #9, Use Me, Red Wine and so many more. Buy this CD, or any of her others, you won't regret it.

5.0 out of 5 stars My favorite Keri CD, February 21, 2009

I have been a fan of Keri since I first read about her in the local newspaper a number of years ago. I own all of Keri's CDs, and this is my favorite to date. As the previous reviewer noted, one of Keri's strengths is her relatibility - the lyrics are heart-felt and "put it all out there". My favorite songs are the gospel flavored songs such as "Born Again", "Go Proud", and "Life #9". The keyboardist and backup singers really round out these songs and are an amazing compliment to Keri's vocals. The only thing better than hearing these songs on this CD is hearing Keri and her band in person. Great job, Keri...keep the songs comin'!

5.0 out of 5 stars Another home run from Keri Noble, February 13, 2009

Those new to Keri's music as well as long time fans will appreciate her latest album. I imagine that after "Emily" was featured in Grey's Anatomy those not familiar with her previous work will be checking her out.

What I've always appreciated about Keri's music, and what shines through even stronger in this latest album, is that it pairs a distinctive, melodic with poetic, honest lyrics. When I listen to her music not only do I find myself captivated by how beautiful and catchy it is, but there is so much I can relate to in the lyrics. You really get the sense that you are listening to someone who isn't afraid to put it all out there in her lyrics. In the lyrics and how she sings you get this honest blend of strength and vulnerability that feels very real. I love to listen to her music in the background while I'm working as well as when I need to relax.

I highly recommend this CD and suggest "Emily" and "Watch Me Walk" as first listens.

"Watch Me Walk", "Red Wine Til Daylight", "Go Proud" and "Remember My Name" being the most memorable. These songs really are high caliber, and show that Keri has quite the set of pipes on her. The rest of the album just can't seem to hold up to the same standard, however. I'd highly recommend buying at least the four tracks I mentioned above, they're fantastic. But if you buy the CD, just expect to be hitting the skip button more than you'd like.

I am a big fan of Lucinda Williams, Jewel, Brandi Carlile, etc. So when someone recommended this artist to me I bought it with out listening to anything. What a mistake. That CD is $18 and an hour of my life I will never have back. Uninspired and trite, she is neither a gifted song-writer nor a talented enough singer to make up for this deficiency.
