If you love Kermit, you'll love this one, but he's not a toy. This Kermit is for adults who love the great frog and want a life size clone of him for their very own. It's like having the real Kermit right in the room with you. He's an amazing amphibian.

My wife just got my this for Christmas and I love it. I am a huge Jim Henson fan and the muppets are like friends to me. She was disappointed because she misunderstood and thought it was a puppet for me to play with for our son.
Even though it is not, it is still an awesome, fully posable replica with a stand and a number plate. According to the plate it came with, there are only 2500 of these made.
Overall, if you are a muppet fan, this is an amazing model. Just be careful, it is not a toy or a puppet.

Some people seem to be a little unclear on what this is still, so maybe I can clear things up. This is a photo puppet replica- not a replica of the actual puppet. Photo puppets were used for publicity pictures and things like calendars and the Muppet trading cards in the mid-90s when they were trying to make a come back. This made it so there could be a full body of the Muppet without sticking with a basic waist-up shot of them, and they could be posed in any way. That's what you're getting here. This has no hole for your hand, and no wires connected to the arms.

What you are getting, is a very solid piece of work. Kermit's made of a very nice fleece and foam injected, giving him a very durable body that'll last a lifetime. He has wires in the arms, fingers, legs, neck and mouth. You can literally pose him in any way you've ever seen him posed, and then some. You know his signature grimace, when his mouth would be folded down? Yep, you can do that here! The felt on the bottom of his feet and on the frill thing around his neck (what IS that anwyay?) is a little thin, but given that most people interested in this are adult collectors, they'll know what to be careful with. And yes, his eyes are made of ping pong balls, just like the original Kermit.

Kermit comes shipped in an extremely heavy, durable box- this is why shipping is so much for him from most sellers. He comes with a stand, 'silk' cloth to cover him up with for whatever reason, and the standard Master Replicas papers along with a certificate of authenticity. Trust me- this isn't just a quick replica that they threw out there to make money on. This is a real collectible and you'll be proud when opening this sucker and seeing all the time that went into everything.

Problems? Just a few tiny ones that are more of things you need to be cautious with. The wire skeleton is as strong as a metal coat hanger. I never broke mine when I had Kermit, but there are a lot of people who did break theirs, and it's because of over-posing or adjusting limbs over and over within a short amount of time. You know how when you bent a coat hanger in the same spot and it snaps? That's what'll happen with Kermit, so don't go crazy with the posing, as excited as you may be. Also, his eyes being ping pong balls, they're prone to being easily scuffed, and you'll want to watch those the most. I also have to be a little critical about Kermit's neck- it seems a little full to me, and was something that always bothered me when I'd look at it. Since you're so used to seeing the actual puppet of him, where there was room in the neck for the puppeteer's arm, they filled it in more here.

All in all, this is an excellent replica, and it's too bad Master Replicas did such a bad job with Gonzo and Animal. I bought Kermit for a little under half of the original retail price in 2008, and he was worth it. But now, eFX has the Muppets license and is going to be putting out a News Reporter Kermit this year or next. It could beat this one, but if you can snatch this guy for a good price, by all means go for it. 'just a quick tip for posers- take time with posing Kermit and look at everything you've done if you want to try and make him look like he's come to life. A lot of people have him stuck with very stiff legs, barely bent, and it just doesn't look good, and makes people think this isn't worth the money. If I had more time, and hadn't sold mine, I would've used this replica for photography because you can pose it so well. If you've wanted a Kermit and have the money, nothing should stop you from buying this replica.

I purchased this as a Christmas gift for my son in the entertainment industry. My son was inspired by the genius of Jim Henson. Kermit was the last gift for anyone in our family to open. My son and his wife were thrilled to receive Kermit,lifelike, posable, and lifesize. My son who just married his dear wife a few months before chose "The Rainbow Connection" for the song for the mother/son dance at the wedding. When my son opened the gift he smiled along with the rest of the family and we all just laughed continuously for a very long time. It was as if Kermit was "alive" and bonding us all to that wonderful place in each of our hearts where we are all connected. Truly a memorable,meaningful gift for any "lover or dreamer or seeker of the Rainbow Connection".

This replica is not meant to be a toy for playing in my opinion, it is too expensive and too exquisite. It is a beautiful exhibition piece for fans of the Muppet Show. Material and manufacture are of very good quality, and arms, legs and mouth can be adjusted to different positions.
It should be kept in mind that shipping and handling costs a lot, especially overseas.

It's as advertised. Expensive, but great detail and expressiveness. There's pretty much no way you're going to get him to stand up without the stand, so he'll have to sit if you're going for a truly lifelike pose. But yeah, it captures Kermit perfectly. Better than the picture, really.

I Love my Kermit! I have been a major fan of the Muppet Show and Kermit since it originated. I steer away from collectible items because when I get them I start going overboard wanting everything. If you are a true Muppet fan this is the one item you will want to own. He's amazing. Made me feel like a kid again when I opened the box. He's definately for adults though. Don't expect a toy. Expect a high quality replica of Kermit. That's not to say he's not fun to play with. All weekend long he has popped up in different poses around the house doing all sorts of things. Everyone has had a blast with him putting him in different situations. Yep, now I want Gonzo and Animal!

............. this is the most wonderful replica and trully worth every penny, Kermits inspiration was brought home when we opened the box and he still makes us smile every time we enter the room and find him sitting thoughtfully.

As i saw that it was a Kermit Replica, i thought it was an exact replica of the Kermit seen on the Muppet show. The only problem for me is that it's not a plush puppet. It's just a doll... Big Disappoitment...
