With the way these guys can put out music why only 9 songs? Other then that, this is a great album by a couple guys whose heartbeat is in time with the singer/songwriter mantra with huge dashes of what's labeled alt country. Hopefully one or two other people discover this and the world these musicians inabit opens up to them. You like this go find the album by Lost Dogs called The Lost Cabin and the Mystery Trees and start working back from there.

These guys are truly iconic. Having released a multitude of truly ingenious music in their respective musical groups, The Choir and and 77's, its hard to imagine that they have this much creativity left. I was skeptical when I heard about the project and what they were attempting to do, but boy was I wrong. Mike's vocals are angelic on Leonard Cohen's, "Hey, That's No Way to Say Goodbye." Their remake of Terry Taylor's "And So It Goes" will leave you speechless. Its one of those projects that you love more and more each time you listen to it. I hope this is the first of many future releases for this dynamic duo. Do yourself a favor and grab this one and then acquaint yourself with some of their earlier work. You won't be disappointed. Makes you wonder why they aren't a household name.

My son turned me on to this. I'm 65 so I grew up with the music that drew from all types. This album crosses so many genre that it is in my transitional mix.

If I suggest a specific style you may not listen to it because it's "not your style" so I'll leave it up to you.
