Good old fashioned mason jars, not much to say.
Matt
Wide mouth is definitely the way to go when you think about having to get you hand in to clean the jars after use.
Brandon Simmons
Very pleased, well packed, all in whole non broken.

The canning jars are great, and I don't want to take away from their rating because of the cost. Amazon is my go-to place for ANYTHING I want to purchase, but I did, however, discover the very same set at Kmart for less than half the price AFTER I purchased these. I will not be buying these from Amazon again.

Yes, I guess a canning jar is a "canning jar". So, I did compare my old Golden Harvest brand Mason Jars to these new Kerr canning jars ... well Kerr is a subsidiary of Jarden and it says Kerr on the actual jar. So the Jarden description confused me a little.

Long story short ... good jars ... I had opened 2 - 15 oz cans of Mandarin Oranges and both cans fit just right in these wide mouth, quart canning jars. I like to serve my guests their fruit nice and cold, in a glass jar and with ample amounts of fruit. So with reusable plastic lids (sold separately) many fruity days and nights lie ahead!

They're mason jars. What more do you want? Work like a charm. Eight more words were required for this review.

Good jars with a nice seal on top. I purchased online because I was able to get a better price but half the jars we're broken so it ended up costing more. Being glass I recommend buying local, this way you know you're not getting damaged goods.

The jars are beautiful, obviously thats why i ordered. However, one of the jars was broken. They need to pack these things better. I will be contacting to return the entire box. I'm not paying for a broken jar. These things are expensive enough as it is.

Okay, I first began my search looking for the smaller sized jars made by Ball; it was the 8oz jars. I read the review on Amazon on those jars stating that; they too, were overpriced. That; the same jars could be found much cheaper at Walmart. I also read an argument saying that they were not the same and of a lower quality. I am here to confirm that they are exactly the same at a much cheaper price.

Referring now to the Kerr 32oz. Jars; I saw these SAME JARS at a local K-MART for $10.00. It hurts, oh it hurts (sigh) :) They had the Ball name instead of Kerr; but make no mistake they are the same. My eyes have been opened more about amazon. I use to think they were the price to beat. It is not the same people. Be careful.

Anyway don't make the same mistake as me. I love amazon, but it is time to face the fact that they no longer hold the crown on the cheapest price. Many times now, I have seen many a product cheaper elsewhere. "Don't get me wrong" Amazon is still my top online store, but I am much more careful now, before I add something to my cart.

No complaints whatsoever, I found these jars to be perfect for my kitchen and home. I keep pencils in some, I use others as drinking glasses, and the lids/seals that came with the jars worked, and still work, just fine.
