Book Description

Romance, it should be easy for a romance novelist to find love and happiness right? Well, things don't always work out in life as they do in novels now do they?

Kerry, a novelist with a background she keeps hidden from everyone but a very few friends lives in Northern Michigan, still trying to hide from the pain of her childhood while she creates romance stories alone in her home.

Raine, a farmer that loves her, has loved her from afar for years. He's just waiting for the chance to let her know how he feels, but he worries that she's too frightened to accept the fact that he loves her.

With luck, patience and a lot of love these two come together and make it past their own fears and demons of the past to fall in love completely. Through everything that life throws their way they learn that what they have together is something precious and rare.

More About the Author

Melanie Ockert resides in Northern Michigan where she has quite a bit of time to write and create in the snowbound days of winter. She lives there with her husband, her two dogs and the Psycho Kitty.

After concentrating many years on working and being a Mom it was during the winter one year while recuperating from surgery her husband bought her a laptop and she began to write, rediscovering the love for it that she had when she was younger. When asked about her writing by family and friends she often says, "My stories are like me, happy and silly, sad and dramatic, imperfectly perfect...I loved writing them.".

Writer and photographer, Mom and Grandmother, coffee lover and cook. It's the simple things that are enjoyed the most in her life.
