Product Description

Product Description

The Injection 3.0 is destined to become your new favorite pocketknife. It offers sleek good looks—from the tip of its classic drop-point blade to its 3D-machined G-10 handle. The Injection is a collaboration between custom knifemaker Todd Rexford and Kershaw and we think the results are outstanding. Look for high-end custom details like decorative pivot hardware and machined thumbstuds. The G-10 handle has incised cutouts on each side, letting you see through to the stainless steel liners. The G-10 is textured for a secure grip. Even the backspacer offers a custom touch; it's chamfered (cut at an angle) on the back end. Another nice detail is the inset lanyard pin so nothing interrupts the smooth line of the knife. The 3-inch blade is the perfect size for so many day-to-day applications. Built of high-performance 8Cr13MoV, it comes razor-sharp and holds its edge well. The manual opening is smooth and easy. Once open, the blade is secured with a steel locking liner. The pocket clip is reversible for left- or right-handed carry. Manual: There is no mechanical assist, such as SpeedSafe, used to open the folding knife. Liner Lock: Locks the blade open during use; one side of the knife’s steel "liner," the steel plate to which the handle scales are attached, moves into position behind the blade to securely lock it open. Reversible: Pre-drilled holes in the handle enable the user to change either the tip position or the side on which the knife carries.

Overall a pretty good knife for a very reasonable cost.

I prefer blades that are just long enough for the EDC utility tasks I use them for and this 3 inch version fits that bill better than the 3.5 inch version.

I am a big Kershaw fan and I love the looks of this knife. This knife calls out to me for some reason and it feels solid in hand. The only problem I have with this knife is the bead-blast finish. This steel, 8cr13mov, is not the most rust resistant steel, and in combination with the bead-blast finish, the blade rusts easily. I had this in my pocket for exactly 1 day before it started rusting. Normally, for EDC, I don't have to have an oil coating on my blades, but this knife, it is required. While the finish does add to the knife's looks, it makes me not want to use it. If they had put stonewash finish or a coating on the blade, I would like this knife much better.

I love Kershaw blades.
Living in Chicago, i try to EDC knives on the smaller side that are inconspicuous, and prior to this blade i had been EDCing the Skyline for little over 2 years.

This blade is as close to EDC perfection as it gets. It addressed my main gripes with the skyline, moving the clip down the handle for better concealment and pocket retention, as well as incorporating a full flat grind into a $30 knife.

8crmov is just fine, it requires sharpening and maintenance but in this price range there is really no difference between steels.

The 3d machined g10 scales are grippy and insanely comfortable, the blade is wicked fast, came razor sharp and after a semester of heavy use on and off of job sites, this blade still locks up tight as a drum.

Subjectively i find the design to be incredibly aesthetic and definitely got admired the first few times I used it around coworkers.
Buy this knife, there is nothing better for small sized EDC blades.

Smooth operation and very comfortable to hold, especially after I sanded the handle's edges, which I found to be a little sharp. The handle accepts all 5 fingers of my medium sized hand. The bead blasted, full flat ground blade came very sharp out of the box. A great slicer. I prefer blades that are just long enough for the EDC utility tasks I use them for and this 3 inch version fits that bill better than the 3.5 inch version. I found it is better to flick the blade open by using the top of my thumb nail than the skin of my thumb due to the fairly strong detent holding the blade closed and the aggressive roughness of the thumb stud. The blade deploys very fast and locks up with authority. I find it fun to deploy this way. My initial reaction when I first saw the knife in person was that the pictures don't do it justice.

.The Kershaw Injection came sharp out of the box with a centered blade and no blade play. The ffg blade cuts well and has kept its edge. The blade flicks out easily and closes with one hand using the liner lock, this is a manual opening knife. I would highly recommend this knife at its price point.

Came shaving-sharp. Not the best knife, but definitely a best value for the price.
I ended up giving to my GF son, so will have to get another. Makes a good giveaway since it is such a great value.

Awesome knife and glad I bought it from Amazon! A note to Kershaw, though... Would have been five stars if it weren't bead blasted! That being said, the knife is so well designed and put together that for once in my life I don't want to bury my head in the sand when I see the word China on the blade. Well done, great knife for what you pay and a little oil can go a long way on that finish so thumbs up.
