Product Description

Kershaw's water sport knives feature sturdy stainless-steel construction, yet without unnecessary weight. The Sea Hunters offer precision blades of highly corrosion-resistant 420J2 stainless steel. Big, easy-to-grasp injection-molded handles feature a co-polymer overlay for a super-secure grip. The handles also have built-in "neon" accents so they're always easy to see in a marine environment. Sea Hunter blades are partially serrated, because you never know when sawing your way out of a situation may be necessary. Kershaw Sea Hunters also include a cord notch for fast and powerful cutting through a variety of cord materials. Sea Hunters come complete with the Kershaw Diver's Sheath. The durable Kydex sheath has a press-n-pull mechanism that secures the knife regardless of your position in the water. Depth-compensating leg straps have adjustable quick-release buckles. With their quality Kershaw construction and thoughtful design, you can rely on the Sea Hunters for extreme performance when it really counts.

First I must say I am a die-hard Kershaw fan.

Now the the rest of the plastic is starting to crack even though I rinse with freshwater after every dive.

Nice blade, handle has great grip for when knife is wet.

Poor design and cheap materials on the handle. The back half of the handle broke off on first dive with normal use. Now the the rest of the plastic is starting to crack even though I rinse with freshwater after every dive. Bottom line...Avoid any dive knife with plastic parts. At least make sure they are not part of the structural components of the knife. On the other hand I love the Kydex sheath design, especially the straps that are made for quick release. Makes for easy on/off. Over all, if you are going to go with Kershaw, go for the Amphibian. Same sheath, better knife.

When I reviewed the sellers description, I really liked what I heard about the positive-locking sheath. When it arrived, it came shipped with a friction-locking sheath, not the one pictured in the sale. It is still a nice quality knife, but I wish the sheath was of the pictured style....Disappointed in NY

This knife is made with a great blade, but the handle feels flimsy and I was weary about diving with a plastic grip. Another note, this knife was shipped to me with a different sheath than the actual Kershaw sheath advertised. Disappointing given that the straps did not fully work with the sheath making it uncomfortable to wear and untrustworthy in the water.

Knife is great, a little small. I don't care for the straps to attach to my leg or arm, not very user friendly. Knife and sheath are light weight and easy to attach to BC with screw down belt holder.

Took it spearfishing in maui. Used it to dispatch fish I caught. Three straight hours in sea water showed rust marks by the time we got back to the hotel. BUT... As soon as I cleaned it with a dab of stainless steel cleaner ( lemon juice works too) it looked like new and ready for the next dive. My recommendation, is if you are a serious diver go spend $100+ on a blade if you want a good cheap knife for diving every so often this your blade.
