I love this knife. It is the perfect size to fit in your small jeans pocket. Closet it is 3-1/2" long, open it is just under 6". The blade deploys very easily with one hand, I just wish it were just as easy to close it with one hand. The stainless steel looks great, and feels build to last. And at this price, you can't go wrong.

I'm glad I lost my old knife, because I like this one way better. Having two options for opening the knife is very handy, but I especially like the index finger method- very fast and reliable, which is harder to do on a smaller knife like this. I carry it clipped in my jeans pocket, and I like this clip better than any I've seen. And it has a smooth, narrow profile that allows for easy access and a comfortable carry. If I lose this one, I'll buy another!

Women's jeans have smaller pockets than men's jeans...let's just get that out there right now. I lost my last knife because it didn't fit well in my pocket, the clip wasn't tight, and it fell out somewhere between my truck and the job site. I bought this knife because I was looking for something just a little bit smaller. This knife is well made, sharp, and easy to open. It has a locking mechanism that prevents it from springing open in your pocket. I love it. The clip is tight and I'm not at all worried that I'm going to lose this one like I did the last one. It fits perfectly in the front pocket of my jeans. I'm sure this knife performs equally well for men, but I would definitely recommend it to any woman.

I bought this knife when I was on summer break from college and working as an intern with a manufacturing company. Part of my responsibilities including shipping warranty parts, unpacking supplies, unpacking warranty returns, among other things.

I needed a compact knife that wouldn't look out of place in the pocket of my slacks, but had useful features when I needed them. The model I had was the exact one pictured, the Scallion finished in all brushed stainless with the combination blade edge.

The reason I consider it a light duty knife is that the handle, while fairly ergonomical, does not have much in the way of grip. Especially if the knife is wet, oily, or your hands are sweaty - it can start to feel slippery. However for someone who needs a compact EDC knife that they are not using constantly this is a great value.

In other reviews of Kershaw's knives in this price range, including the Ken Onion Chive model, I have mentioned my concerns for the Speedsafe deployment feature. While it made me feel uneasy with the smaller Chive model, I felt it was useful and welcome on the Scallion.

This knife is great. It has a great casing, looks nice, and the sharp edge. The serrations are great for cutting boxes, etc.

I bought this Kershaw model after losing my last pocket knife, another Kershaw blade. My old knife had a great build and a few features that I felt I must have when purchasing a replacement. This included partial serrations, a locking blade, quick (spring or otherwise) opening, a durable non flimsy pocket clip, and a blade lock when closed. I searched all over and this is the best pocket knife that matches those criteria for a good price. The Kershaw Scallion is a bit shorter than my other pocket knife, but just as durable. It has a heavy, metal (non musical) build that is not in the least bit flimsy. The knife has weight to it while the pocket clip keeps the knife securely fastened in place while not in use. If you're looking for a well built general use pocket knife, consider the Scallion.

I originally bought this model knife over ten years ago, and it's still my every day carry. I have lost these in the airport, out camping, etc. I will keep buying this knife as long as they keep making it. This knife is perfect in every way for me. I only use it one handed, the speedsafe is great. I even unlock to it to stow the knife one handed. It stays sharp, it takes a beating! It feels safe and sturdy. I purchased one for each of my groomsmen and they all love them too. I recently had mine stolen from me. Looking for a new knife, my wife says maybe it's time for a change. NOPE this will always be my go-to knife. I ordered another. Do yourself a favor, buy this knife.

I bought this to replace another knife I have that I carry with me every day, that one had a similar sized blade but was much thicker and wasn't comfortable to carry in my pocket. This one is quite thin, solid but not heavy, and has a great blade with very useful serrations. I previously had a different Kershaw compact EDC knife without a serrated blade and as much as I loved it, I really missed the serrations. Opening it is quick and easy, the best of any knife I've owned. Now if only the blade would clean itself...
