Product Description

When it comes to your work knife…a knife that you use a lot, a knife you depend on, you need a knife that fits your hand perfectly. After all, it's going to spend a lot of time there. That's why you'll like this collection of ergonomically contoured knives engineered by Kershaw. Two additions to a great knife collection are the Needs Work and the Oso Sweet. The Needs Work is a tough, versatile knife that demands to be put to work on any cutting task you may have. The blade is Sandvik 14C28N, a stainless steel that provides high hardness as well as excellent corrosion and wear resistance. The handle is made of contoured Polyimide, an engineering polymer that exhibits an exceptional combination of thermal stability and mechanical toughness. The Oso Sweet is a classic design, but with a tasty twist, a handle of injection molded glass-filled nylon with a distinctive "scales" pattern. The Oso Sweet offers a blade of high-quality AUS6A stainless steel for toughness and edge retention. Both the Needs Work and the Oso Sweet feature the patented SpeedSafe manual assist for smooth, easy opening. Knife users who appreciate good looking, hardworking knives, a SpeedSafe design, and a great price, are sure to want to add both the Needs Work and the Oso Sweet to the menu.

5.0 out of 5 stars Incorrect description of blade metal March 24, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase
The amazon description of this knife says the blade is AUS6A steel and further down the description it says the blade is Sandvik 14C28N. Neither of these is correct. I ordered my knife and the blade is marked 8Cr13MoV. Just thought I'd point this out to people wonder about what steel is actually used in the blade.

The blade came pretty sharp, not as sharp as my leek but still pretty sharp. Can easily cut through paper but was not sharp enough to shave with. Love the assisted opening feature and the size. Fits great in my pocket and is the perfect size for an EDC knife.

A great deal for $24 bucks.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great value February 21, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase
I've had this knife for a couple weeks and used it every day. It is very similar to the Kershaw Volt II. The Speedsafe assisted opening is not spring driven like several reviewers have said. It is driven by a wedge of steel so in my opinion is more durable than a spring. The deployment is auto-quick. The synthetic handle material is shaped very nicely and feels comfortable. The flipper is very easy to use. Like all Kershaws it came razor sharp. The only negative is the lack of jimping. The nearly identical Volt II has nice jimping so I slightly prefer it over the OSO Sweet.

5.0 out of 5 stars For $22 its a steal February 18, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase
Like the title says, for $22 buying this knife makes you feel like you're stealing it. Here is why:

- solid construction
- opens nice and firm
- big 3.5" blade
- price

Cons:

The pocket clip is too damn strong. (its going to shred pant pockets if you keep it long enough)
