Sorry about the lighting and my non-professionalism. This knife is a winner to me. Kershaw really impressed me with the Tremor. 8cr13mov steel... not the best quality, but great for the price range. It holds and edge well and is easy to sharper. Beautiful 3.75 inch blade with a stonewashed finish. G-10 Grip gives a nice feel to the knife. Very intimidating knife and a great collectible for $25 bucks. Assisted opening is quick, easy, and effortless. Just buy it already :)

Also, the seller has great shipping. The order was placed, shipped from Colorado to Louisiana, and arrived in 3 days!

Unbelievable value from Kershaw and Amazon on this Chinese born blade. Kershaw is certainly involed in the QC of these blades and the Tremor proves it. 3.75" 8cr13mov steel blade sharpens easily, holds an edge and resists corrosion if cared for. Hollow grind blade and shallow grind edge make this knife hair shaving sharp. Nice diamond pattern G10 pistol grip scales help you hold on to this 6oz beauty.

The speedsafe assisted opening system is powerful and smooth making you look twice at this price. Bronze washers add to the good solid feel and the lifetime warranty compliments this mechanically operated tool. And if you suck at sharpening just send it to Kershaw to get the job done for free... they'll even ship it back to you at no charge. I am absolutely satisfied with this purchase! Enjoy the video.

If your looking for a larger folder that can handle almost anything this is it.While the steel used is 8cr13Mov,Kershaw heat treats it to perfection. It is more than adequate. The big trailing point blade with a recurved edge is scary sharp out of the box.Nice slightly shiny stonewash finish is also a plus.A thin coat of mineral oil is all you need to take it into wet environments. The stonewash finish is less prone to rust than a beadblast in that respect. The handle has 2 full liners, one being the liner lock,G10 scales. The G10 is grippy enough, but not so that it will shread your pocket.Of course it has the speedsafe AO,which works very well considering the heft of the blade, very fast.Right side only tip up/down pocket clip, both ways keep a pretty low ride, not too much showing.Lock up is perfect,no play or wobble.I would say this knife can take on others in it's size range with ease. Why take your high priced Benchmade/Spyderco/Cold Steel out to beat it up when you can get this monster for a fraction of the price and get similar performance.Outstanding Kershaw!!! another homerun.

Kershaw has done it again with a great knife for a low price. I have been very impressed with all the low priced Kershaw knives I have bought recently, but this one surprised me. I mentioned in my review of the Kershaw Chill that the level of quality felt out of place in this price range, and the same applies here but even more so. I would not have been disappointed in this knife if I had paid double the amount I did. The main reason for the low price is the use of 8CR13MOV steel, which I honestly have no problem with. Every knife I own that uses this steel holds and edge well enough that I don't notice a difference between it and my other knives with pricier steels. I am not equipped to do an in depth truly fair test of various blade steels, I'm just saying that from my own personal use (I own over 100 knives from brands such as Al Mar, Spyderco, Benchmade, SOG, Cold Steel, etc...) I have never felt one of my 8CR13MOV knives got dull at a noticeably quicker rate than a knife with 'better' steel. And, this steel also tends to take an edge very easily. This knife was no exception. It came fairly sharp, and I had it ready to shave with just a few strokes on my crock stick sharpener. The blade is hollow ground with a nice belly to it, and has a very sharp point. One thing I am grateful that Kershaw decided to do was implement a brushed finish for the blade rather than their typical bead blast finish. I am really not a fan of bead blast finishes in general as they tend to scratch easily, and to me it just makes a knife look cheap.

The G10 handles have just the right amount of grip, and are nicely rounded on the edges. The pocket clip was a standard long 3 hole type, which is a good thing.

I give a review of the Kershaw Tremor with a plain edge 8Cr13MoV stainless steel blade. Kershaw Tremor Folding Lock Back KnifeThe blade has a flipper to easily activate Kershaw's patented SpeedSafe assisted opening technology. The assisted opening takes control after gently pushing the flipper, opening the knife to a full locked positing. The liner lock holds the blade solidly in place while opened and can be easily closed with one hand. The large assisted folder has textured G10 handles and an ergonomic shape for a comfortable and secure grip. Includes a stainless steel pocket clip.

This isn't my first Kershaw Tremor; I have two. My review is of the knife in general, as there's no reason to differentiate between the two knives. The Tremor is made in China, which explains why it costs so little. Kershaw's quality control is excellent.

The Tremor's blade is stonewashed 8Cr13MoV. The stonewashed finish looks a bit like a slightly dirty piece of metal, but it's smooth in texture. If you take the knife apart, you can polish the blade to a mirror shine. The blade is 1/8" thick and 3-3/4" long with a 3-3/8" cutting edge. The blade is hollow ground, and mine came razor sharp right out of the box. The Amazon specs list a thumb stud as a feature, but the Tremor doesn't have a thumb stud. There's no jimping on the blade, but it's easy to add your own with a Dremel if you wish. The flipper opens the blade very fast and doubles as a small guard, making a choil so your hand doesn't advance forward onto the blade. As far as the blade, everything is great. It does have a slight recurve, but it doesn't get in the way of sharpening. The point is thin enough to pierce easily, but not so much that it will snap.

The handle consists of stainless liners with black G-10 scales. The handle is made for a pistol grip, which I think suits the knife greatly. The knife is 5-1/4" closed. The jimped linerlock engages pretty well, and there's no play in the blade. If you need to, the knife can be taken apart via hex screws. The blade pivot pin screw is larger than the handle screws. Inside the handle, you'll see the phosphor bronze bushings on each side of the blade, which allow for smooth and fast deployment. If you remove the left handle scale, you'll see the torsion bar, which allows the blade to come out super fast (this is an assisted-opening knife). The traction of the G-10 is good.
