The best carpenters pencil sharpener out there !!! Makes a nice chisel point that doesn't break when writing with it.....way better than those rotary ones at HD that make a breakable point.... easy to use and durable too....

I've tried two different pencils I have on hand. Both of them are too big. That being said, if you had a pencil that fit, this looks like a great way to go. I actually like that it's bigger than the twist-type, since I keep losing the twist-type ones... I might try to make the opening bigger, and see how it works. Opening measures .580, my pencils are .588. Really wish I could give it 5-stars, but since it doesn't work with all pencils, I can't.
