Great deal on a bike that is upgradable and pretty quick as is. It's a great bike for a beginner. As for service, the bike was packed well and came quickly, great to be able to make a hassle free purchase online.

I didn't know if the (fairly) reasonable price meant that the quality would suffer, but it doesn't. This is a great bike. Very light, strong and with a little know how (or a friendly bike shop repair man) can be assembled in a couple of hours. I've upgraded the crank set to a Shimano Ultegra and may do the same for a few other little bits to treak it, but I highly recommend this cool looking machine. Buy it, buy it, buy it...

Owned the bike for one week now and think its great! Have matched it with some 105 pedals and shoes and have been able to climb higher and go farther and faster. Had to bring it to a pro bike shop as the derailleur cables are a bit tricky but only charged me $60. put some continental gatorskins on as well as I live in the SW and there are plenty of thorns. As with other reviews this is an amazing machine and will definitely step up your training if your out of shape like me. I'm 6' 0" and fit well on the 57 with the seat post all the way down. Of note the aero bars are different and take a little getting used to going down steep hills. May want to get the traditional setup.

I love it. Kestrel has always been one of my favorite brands. The body style with the matte finish is nice and really stands out from other bikes. The shifting with the 105 is perfect. All the other out of box components are pretty good. I had one issue with the tires and had to change them out.

I own the 2012 version of the Talon 105. I thought I would review purely from a reliability standpoint - I am active duty Navy and travel a LOT. Several of the places I go, I've brought my Kestrel. Packs up in about 30 minutes with little tools, and reassembly is just as easy. I am not even sure how many miles I've put on mine but it has been a TON - It's been packed and unpacked several times and other than a few cosmetic dings and one scratch (woops) - mechanically it's still a very sound bike. I feel like I've beat on it pretty hard and its still going strong. I road ride it, put it on a trainer, i've had it in some extreme environments - heat/humidity, and as I mentioned above; it's still going strong. Great first Tri Bike if you're thinking of buying one.

I'm in my second season of triathlon and decided to ditch my old steel-framed road bike (Surly).

This bike is a tremendous step-up! Fit and finish are beautiful and I can certainly tell the difference in geometry/weight/position on the road. Just completed my first olympic distance race using this bike and it performed admirably. Lots of adjusment/position options available to set it up like you want.

Supplied tires appeared kinda weak (Some Chinese off-brand of slicks), so I immediately replaced them with Gatorskins. Other than that no issues and I'm looking forward to using this bike for many seasons to come!

Upgraded to SRAM Crankset and Shimano Ultegra cassette and F. Derailleur. Love the ride. Went up about 3 MPH over a 20 mile ride just by getting the bike. White Bar tape looks filthy nearly immediately so think about opting for another color soon!
Saddle is hard but otherwise great bike.
had mine a year. About 150 miles so far.
