This review is from: The Keswick Theatre (PA) (Images of America) (Paperback)
An excellent, comprehensive overview of this historic theater. Covers the history of the theater from depression-era live vaudeville, the golden age of movies, 50s family films, to its present status as a venue for top notch live entertainment. Includes a few disasters (a major fire, which shut the theater for three years, plus a couple of disastrous floods.) The theater has battled the odds and not only survived, but prospered, showing how a theater can help spark community revitalization. Lots of good photographs. Highly recommended for readers in the southeastern Pennsylvania region.
