It's a decent product, but overpriced.

The main reason I'm writing this review is to share an assembly trick. You are instructed to slide the two yellow rubber handles onto the ends of the handlebar. The problem is that they're too tight to go on. The instructions suggest soaking them in warm water to expand them. I tried several times with increasingly hot water (heated on the stove), but it hardly helped. The only thing that worked was to put the handlebar in the freezer for an hour. Then the rubber handles slipped on with no problem.

This was easy to assemble and steers very smoothly. It's perfect for us because our older boy (3.5 years) can use it to the max, while the younger one (1.5 years) is learning to ride it with assistance. By the time the older one is ready to move on to a more advanced model or a bike, the little guy will be ready to take over.

My 3 year old loves this scooter!!! Even with his enormous size 12 feet he's able to ride this scooter with his friends on the road. This was the perfect birthday present for him. It's built so well, only problem was the plastic hubcaps fell off almost immediately, but who needs them really anyway?

Bought the item on sale. My 4 year old loves it. Great functional scooter..very sturdy..easy to operate for kids that age and size - although it is much larger than regular scooter and a bit heavier , too. Only downside - like with most scooter - are the soft plastic wheels. Whished they had a version with real rubber. That takes it easier on the hardwood floor in case you want to use it indoors. Overall Chinese made quality product at German standards.

Refreshing to find such a well constructed kiddy toy.

The quality of the welds, for one thing, is supurb.

Credit the Germans for keeping the bar high.
