No longer shipping with MaxXTread Komfy-Ride Tires.,
By FYI (United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Kettler Jumbo Tricycle with Pushbar and Seatbelt (Toy)
I just received the tricycle so I can't really rate the product yet, but I wanted to leave a comment to inform others that the product is no longer shipping with the MaxXTread Komfy-Ride air tires. These tricycles are now being made using Kettler's Safety Tread tires, which are "long-lasting dual layer" plastic tires. I have spoken with Customer Service to see what can be done about this (since air tires was one criteria used for selecting this product over others) and they are looking in to the matter.

Great Trike But,

The trike is great, even though i am pretty handy it took me a while to put it together. The instructions are not to intuative. My toddler is 20 months and is average height, however in order for him to be able to spin the pedals he would have to sit on the very edge of the seat. Another thing is that description says it comes with air or synthetic rubber tires, but the tires came plastic. Still it is a great trike and i would recommend buying it.

Awesome bike ANNOYING instructions!,
This review is from: Kettler Jumbo Tricycle with Pushbar and Seatbelt (Toy)
First let's start with the bad, The instructions are extremely annoying, I couldn't figure out what parts where what and if I had them all (which I did with many extras.) That was the only real bad thing about the bike, but not bad enough to decrease the rating by a star by any means!
I love how solid the bike feels, how smooth it rides (even with the plastic tires), how much my daughter (22 months and unable to pedal, though her feet do reach them) fits on it, and how much she loves riding it. The bike came with the Kettler Seatbelt 3 Point Harness Seatbelt and I bought the wire basket (which DOES fit this bike). I find the basket to be essential, but don't find a need to use the harness (not because I'm a bad mom, but my daughter fits on the bike so perfectly she really doesn't seem as if she would fall off it and if the bike tipped over, I wouldn't want her to be trapped on it by the harness.)

It's still a little too big for my young toddler, but she loves getting pushed around on it. The handlebar is not too low, and it's fairly easy to maneuver, even though you can't turn the wheels with the handle. Easy to put together-- took maybe a half hr.

best stroller,

This has become my 2 year old son's favorite stroller. He loves to ride in it and carry his toys in the bucket. Its very sturdy. The instructions were very annoying, but my husband figured them out. Also on the box it says the pushbar is not included but it is and so is a seatbelt. I do recommend the bell as an add on. All in all its a great trike and the service from amazon was impeccable.

Son adores this Tricycle,
By
This review is from: Kettler Jumbo Tricycle with Pushbar and Seatbelt (Toy)
Our son recieved this tricycle as an early Christmas gift. He adores his tricycle! Every day he's asking if he can ride his bike. I don't know much about the instructions, my husband put the bike together in less then 30 minutes (and he's not the type to really sit down and read the instruction). The tricycle has a good weight to it, something that's going to put up with our son's "abuse" so to say. My only complaint, isn't much of one, but our son is still slightly too small for the smallest setting on the tricycle. Although he's two in a half, he is rather tall for his age. I know that in no time he will be at the prefect hieght to start pedaling, but right now he's happy pushing off with his feet.

Keep your receipt and information! I purchased this tricycle for my grandson just before his 2nd birthday. He loves it and rides it all over his neighborhood while his Mom pushes the new baby in her stroller. I thought I had purchased a durable toy that would at least survive both children. However, less than 9 months later, almost every plastic piece on the toy is broken. The bike is now unrideable! The plastic fender has cracked. The rear basket is in 2 pieces, the front axel has a plastic clip that the pedals fit into and it has broken as well. The bike is stored in a covered area and has only been ridden by a 2 year old. This is unacceptable. Kettler appears to be willing to replace the parts but needs ALL the purchase information to do so. Since it was a gift, now I am involved in searching for my receipt! For $200 I expected much more.

I bought this for my granddaughter who is 15 months. She loves it. She pushes it to the front door and wants it to go for a ride. We got the platform for her feet as she is too little to peddle yet. She has already learned to use the brake.
The directions were a little vague but we had no real trouble. We look forward to many years of usage. The push bar will make it easy to control her when she starts riding on her own.

Great Bike,

I would have given it 5 stars. However, the instructions to put this thing together are not helpful. I needed a SUPER handyman to assemble it. My kid is 2 yrs old and weighs 32 lbs. and is 38 " in height. So we brought this JUMBO tricycle because the seat is bigger than all the other Kettler tricycles. He loves it!
