We ordered this bike for my daughter for Christmas, and we're all very pleased with it. Our daughter is 3 1/2 and very proficient at riding her tricycle, so she was ready for the next "level" of bike. This bike is perfect for that, because the 12-inch wheels are just the right size while putting her a little higher and requiring the slightest awareness of balance with the training wheels. Our daughter is on the petite size so we set the seat to the lowest position, but the seat and handle bars are fully adjustable and the training wheels are removable for when she's mastered her balance. She hopped on her bike Christmas morning and immediately took off after a few minutes of getting used to it, and she wants to ride it everyday. The only reason we gave it 4/5 stars is because the manufacturer requires a slightly unusually large size of Allen Wrench, which they do not include. We had to obtain this size elsewhere since our Allen Wrench set didn't have one. Otherwise we highly recommend this bike!

I purchased this bike for my 3 year old and it is still a little big but she will soon grow into it. It is a very cute bike, not cheap looking at all. My 7 and 9 year old nieces were riding it for fun (way too small for them of course) and it withstood their play so the bike is very sturdy. If it is anything like the old Kettler trike we have it will last for years.

The only bad thing I have to say about it is that the directions are not adequate. It was very confusing to get the parts put on just right. We figured it out but clearer step by step instructions that were written more specifically for the product would have been helpful.

Granted, we did have to put it together ourselves and maybe we are not the most handy, but the training wheels do not support the bike evenly so the whole bike wobbles, making our 3 year old scared to ride it. I took it to the local bike shop (where I would have bought her a bike if I wasn't trying to be somewhat thrifty) and they were surprised that there was no rubber around the training wheels. They are just hard plastic wheels. So now if I buy new training wheels (~$25) and pay for the bike shop to put them on (~$30), then the money I tried to save on this bike is no longer a savings and will come up to the same price I would have paid if I would have just bought them from the local bike shop in the first place. I'm kicking myself for trying to save money on this darn thing.

We bought this bike for my daughter's 4th birthday. My father-in-law easily put it together, but as he tried to screw on the left pedal, he noticed the threads were completely missing. I had read plenty of reviews about pieces either broken or missing when buying bikes online so I freaked out a little. I called the company, but they were closed for the day. I emailed them and, bright and early the next morning, they replied to my email. They let me know that the pedal would be in the mail that day and would hopefully reach us by my daughter's birthday. It did!

I will say that it's a little tall for my daughter, but she's on the short side. I'm sure she'll get plenty of use out of it this summer.
