Customer Reviews

The kit was very easy to install on a B155 and it works great.

I love both of my Keurig coffee makers, but I quickly got tired of refilling the water tank.

They even called me personally to make verify to assure me it was being taken care of.

This item is great - It is exactly what you need to plumb in the B150, K150, B155 or K155 machines. That said, after extensively searching the web (or so I thought) this was the only source I found. We paid $58.99 plus $16.99 shipping for the item. It dropped shipped from Office Depot (with a complete invoice included). I was especially confused when a box of paper clips arrived under a seperate shipment. Turns out, the seller is buying the item from Office Depot for $49.99, adding a box of paper clips to get free shipping on his $50 order, and having it dropped shipped. He just made over $30 on me for doing next to nothing. So - I'll help out the next guy - search Office Depot for part number 731709 and save yourself some money. Not sure why Office Depot doesn't come up as a seller on a web search.

For those of you who weren't sure if the B150 Direct Line kit would work with the B155 brewer, the answer is yes. If you follow the instructions for installation precisely, it will work great.

There is more to the story, however. The unit I received was slightly damaged, the water level sensor magnet in the reservoir was loose, and the retaining device unhitched. I compared this to the pour over resevoir, discovered the error, got the magnet back in place, and re-installed the retainer. I didn't realize that I installed the magnet backwards, with the magnet facing inside instead of outside the reservoir. Because the magnet was backward, the unit thought there was no water in the reservoir. I thought the direct plumb kit was incompatible. I got it working perfectly after discovering and correcting my blunder.

I did not get the filter kit, so my warranty is void. The plumbing is rather simple, the unit is exactly like a dishwasher from a plumbing standpoint, so if you get a dishwasher hookup kit from your local hardware store, the only challenge is how it hooks into the water supply system. There is some adaptation required if you hook into the refrigerator ice-maker line as I did. For those that are plumbing challenged, you should consult with a good friend who is not, or hire a plumber as the instructions suggest.

This is a very expensive endevour for a home coffee maker, it is solely for those who value convenience highly, or want to brag about never having to fill the damn reservoir ever again. I love the fact that I can brew at will, or make cups for guests at will without having to fill.

Four stars instead of five only because I had to fix, troubleshoot, and re-fix. Otherwise, completely happy about the purchase.

This review it about the item, not the seller.

I'm leaving some detailed instructions because it wasn't at all clear to me what was needed before ordering this item. Note that your specific requirements may vary, this is plumbing after all.

We use this machine every day to make at least 12 cups of coffee and filling it isn't really a chore, but having it all done automatically is really nice. The installation is super easy requiring only a medium phillips screwdriver for the kit, and a sharp pair of scissors or snips to cut the plastic tubing unless you have to deal with copper. If you're going to be placing this in proximity to your refrigerator and you have a relatively modern one, chances are there is a 1/4" polyethylene tube hooked up to copper coming out of the wall. If so you're in luck. If not you will need something like this: http://www.amazon.com/Watts-K-1-Polyethylene-Icemaker-25-Feet/dp/B000BQUF44/ref=pd_rhf_cr_s_cp_3_YC1B?ie=UTF8&refRID=0M2BQBGEJRKBAHK6MY2H to tap into the copper.

If you already have pex tubing you can simply cut it and insert the ends into a tee, then from the tee to the coffee maker. I recommend installing a valve so you can turn off the water just to the coffee maker for disconnection and cleaning.

The kit was very easy to install on a B155 and it works great. You do have to unplug the machine and plug it back in to get it to recognize the tank, which they don't mention in the instructions.

this makes the coffee maker great for the office. I did need to buy Keurig B150 Fitting for Direct Water Line Hookup with Elbow. Make sure that what you buy comes with the elbow. That said, it works great.

OK, I've been a Keurig fan for some time. I have a wide selection of coffees and teas on hand at all times, and my neighbors compare us to a coffee shop. I recently wore out my Cuisinart SS-700, so I opted for the Keurig B155 because it appears to be more capable and I truly liked the styling. Adding the ability to add this water connection was the best part!

It took me just minutes to hook this unit up. I had a water line setup for my retired Bunn automatic, so it was a matter of installing this kit, attaching a water line adapter (sold separately,) attached the water line and I was ready to go.

One thing to remember... it's important to completely unplug your brewer before attaching this unit. Simply using the power switch will not cause the brewer to recognize the direct connection.

I would highly recommend this option to anyone... I'm so glad I'm no longer spilling water, dealing with internal filters or worrying about getting air into the system... based upon our level of usage, this was a great choice!
