Subtitle: A nontechnical introduction for beginners. Exactly that. Excellent. Fairly plain english guides like the easiest field manuals. How many/type teeth, skull measurement/proportion, etc; you could identify even without the plain line drawings. Only covers common N. Amer land Mammals. I recommend it for beginning naturalists or biology field students.

This booklet will have you identifying mammal skulls in about 30 minutes. Some skulls are trickier than others and will take careful reading of the glossary to find things such as the occipital crest.

I found it very informative and useful. It was written so a layman could clearly understand it.

Great addition to yoru collection if you collect or study skulls and bones of mammals. Helps in the identification of jaw bones without the skull. It has a question by question that helps you to rule out and then come to a conclusion of what animal it belonged too.
