Heart's Desire, May 18, 2010
This review is from: Key To My Heart (Paperback)
I love a good romance novel. It is even better when more than one of my emotions is heightened. In Key to My Heart, Victoria Wells wrote about characters that were flawed. They made choices and had to live with the error of their ways. Although they regretted some of the decisions they had made, they used it to move into the future they deserved.
Seven years ago, Ava Peretti made a life-altering choice that has hardened her heart in more ways than one. Ava is a loyal friend, sister, and daughter, but the one thing she wanted most she lost in an attempt to please someone else. Ava has regretted every second of it for the past seven years. If she ever wants a chance at complete happiness, Ava has to revisit her past.
Langston Warrington III has tried to live life to the fullest for the past seven years. Although he has a wonderful reason to be happy, Langston cannot help but feel as though he is missing a part of his heart. When Ava blasts back into his world to ask him one question, Langston thinks this is his second chance at love. Unfortunately, he has a secret that may possibly take away his second chance before it even begins. How can he be honest with Ava and keep her in his life?
I cried and wanted to fight for these characters' happiness. I felt every emotion as though it were my own. Sometimes I wanted to turn away like when I overhear someone else's secret. After reading Key to My Heart, I now want to read Wells' first two novels and anything that she may produce later on. I recommend this book to romance readers and to anyone looking for an author with the gift to touch your emotions.
I received this book for review purposes from the author.

Beauty Is In The Eye Of The Beholder when.....Love Conquers All, February 24, 2010
This review is from: Key To My Heart (Paperback)
Victoria Wells takes the meaning of Love in "Key to My Heart" and unlocks the doors of unconditional love and commitment. Ava Peretti and Langston Warrington III met in college and fell in love. It was a love that went deeper than outer appearances, status and money. It was a love they believed at the time would last forever. However, as parental control and old family money and status, seeps into their relationship, they are forced to go their separate ways, but not before making a decision that would ultimately change their lives forever. Key to My Heart will take you on a rollercoaster ride of emotions as it delves into real life issues such as manipulation, control, depression, infidelity, abuse, adoption, betrayal, color biases within the same race, friendships, acceptance and finally saving the best for last....unconditional love that will conquer all. Catching up with Ava's extended family and friends, Summer, Nick, Starr, Kevin and Karen to only name a few and adding new characters in the mix makes this an awesome and exciting page turner! Being the third book in her Love Conquers All Series (A Special Summer, and When Love Comes Around,) this author shows her versatility and heart in being a true romantic! "Key To My Heart" is a must read for those who truly believe and even those who wants to believe that Love can conquer ALL!

Love, Loss, and Redemption, March 7, 2010
This review is from: Key To My Heart (Paperback)
Victoria Wells continues her unique style of writing with this third installment of her Love Conquers All Series. Ms. Wells has gifted us with another enjoyable and well written book. Ava and Langston's story is very emotional, full of anger, angst, and anguish. To say that I was surprised by the nature of Ava's secret, would be an understatement. Ms. Wells has done an excellent job of showing the reader how secrets and lies contribute to the baggage that some people carry in their everyday lives. It is baggage that can stunt their growth as individuals and lead to bitterness and cruelty. She also shows us how love can heal a deeply wounded heart. As the drama unfolds, we see that there is more than one victim left in the wake of an evil deed committed by a cruel and heartless person. Thankfully, by the end of the book, it is true love that has brought about forgiveness, redemption, and healing. Well done Victoria Wells!! I highly recommend this book.
