This review is from: BASIX Keyboard Chord Dictionary (Book & CD) (Basix Series) (Paperback)
.the good news is that this thing is only $10 or so . after that it is all bad -- or neutral . there are footnotes missing to explain what they noted . full of worthless pictures of people that are useless filler and add zero value. . fails to explain too many things talks about P5 - wtf is a p5 ?? . if you already know what they meant to say then you dont need this book !! . chart is not in note sequence aflat comes between a and b it shoudl be before a like bflat is between b and c the book uses dflat and csharp but only has aflat no gsharp ditto for other enharmonics . chord progression example explanation made no sense at all . if you need a good chord dictionary then there are many others that are easier better. .

Superior chord positions for efficiency,
By Lawrence A Team "A team member" (Tucson, AZ) - See all my reviews
This review is from: BASIX Keyboard Chord Dictionary (Book & CD) (Basix Series) (Paperback)
Basix is one of the very few method books or dictionaries that teaches EFFICIENT and FAST postioning. Most every other book teaches essentially only root postitions which is nice but doesn't promote speed and efficiency. No need to look at the keyboard to change chords. The sensibile and great sounding inversions permit absolute minimal repositioning so almost effortless chord changes can be accomplished. The book also provides great scale practice and tons of progressions to learn as well. All in all, a really wonderful MODERN book. Highly recommended for those who want to learn a better way.
