I posted a video review of these locks, sorry the quality is not great but I hope it helps... First off each lock comes with its own set of keys but they are all keyed alike so any of the 12 keys you get in the pack will work with all of the locks. This is nice because I bought these because I lost the keys to one of my old locks. With 12 keys its kinda hard to lose them all. They work the best if you can get the big part behind the trigger and clamp them down nice and tight, as tight as possible. On my Ruger GP100 they are rock solid. When I first tried with my 10/22 the lock was not very tight and I could easily get it loose and pull the trigger. But if you look closely on the inside part of the locks there are little bumps that are spring loaded and can be pushed down. If you can get one of these bumps behind the trigger and get the lock as tight as possible the gun is quite secure. Same with my Winchester Model 1300 shotgun. The key is to get something behind the trigger and clamp it down as hard as you can.

These work well. Plenty of keys included. All inside keeps from scratching up the gun. These are a legal requirement in California. If you don't live in California, I have some info below on why these are a bad idea.Using my own flawed logic, I recently bought these trigger locks. The idea was that it would prevent friends, family and children from tampering with and discharging my guns, eliminating the need for a bulky safe. Also, I could keep the gun cocked and locked and quickly remove the trigger block for home defense scenarios. There are only 2 reasons to lock your guns: 1. To prevent unauthorized use 2. To prevent theft Trigger locks do not prevent theft. Your gun can be stolen and the lock removed with tools. Trigger locks do not prevent unauthorized use. Trigger locks compromise the rules of gun safety. Cable locks are run through the chamber and magazine well. They do not allow for loading of cartridges. Safes, cabinets and trunks make theft unlikely and allow for quick access in case of emergency. 1. Magazines and chambers may be loaded while a trigger lock is in place. 2. The post is designed to be placed BEHIND the trigger, however a large variety of guns, such as most glocks, will force the user to erroneously place the post in FRONT of the trigger. 3. If an intruder enters your home, you must open the lock in the dark, using the key which must also be stored safely away from children, and then load your weapon. 4. You may not keep the weapon loaded with the trigger lock in place because the awkward process of unlocking it may cause you to point the weapon at yourself or others that you do not intend to shoot. Fact: In 1996, even though there were around 80 million people owning guns, there were only 44 accidental gun deaths for children under age 10, or about 0.0001%.1 Fact: California has a trigger lock law and saw a 12% increase in fatal firearm accidents in 1994. Texas doesn't have one and experienced a 28% decrease.2 "Trigger-locks" do, however, render guns inaccessible for self-defense. Fact: Children as young as seven (7) years old have demonstrated that they can pick or break trigger locks, or operate a gun with a trigger lock in place.3 Over half of non-criminal firearm deaths for children over age seven are suicides, so trigger locks are unlikely to reduce these deaths.
