4.0 out of 5 stars Replacement FOB, August 2, 2011

This review is from: Keyless Entry Remote Fob Clicker for 2007 Toyota Sequoia With Do-It-Yourself Programming
We bought a 4 runner that was used and it did not come with a FOB. Was told that the Sequoia would work on a 4 runner. It did but unfortunately I did not get the correct instructions and had to go online to get the correct ones. Programming can be tricky but after a few tries you can get it to work. Overall happy with purchase.

This review is from: Keyless Entry Remote Fob Clicker for 2007 Toyota Sequoia With Do-It-Yourself Programming
I needed an additional keyless entry remote fob clicker for my 2007 Toyota Sequoia, but wasn't willing to pay the $150+ that the dealership wanted to charge for a new one (not to mention having to make an appointment at the dealership, etc, etc). This used one was is in perfect condition. In my opinion it would be hard to distinguish it from a brand new one. It comes with detailed instructions for programming the fob to work with your vehicle. This is my one caution: If you're easily frustrated or not someone who is willing to do an involved procedure repeatedly until it works, this is not for you. I had to repeat the procedure of locking and unlocking the doors, turning the ignition on and off, etc., in a specific sequence four times before it programmed properly. Then it worked like a charm. Except... then my existing fob no longer worked for some reason. So I repeated the procedure several times with BOTH fobs in the vehicle with me, and was successful in getting them both programmed correctly. It was well worth my time for the major savings, but as I said -- be prepared to follow the programming instructions and sequence exactly, and possibly several times.
