Easy to follow , very simple instructions for a new "artist".The projects in the book are easy enough to be done on your own. Author is a great artist himself.

I have been drawing and painting for a long time, went to the Maryland Institute, and yet I felt I needed to hone my drawing skills again. Bert Dodson's approach is very easy to fathom; it involves really seeing the subject. I found the lesson plans interesting and inspiring, and a lot of fun to pursue.
One of the nice things about his teaching is that he uses wonderful examples of styles of drawing, from Rembrandt to Morandi, to show how one's own "handwriting" comes through. |
