This review is from: Keys to Interfaith Parenting (Barron's Parenting Keys) (Paperback)
If you and your spouse can sit down before having kids (even before getting married) and talk about religion it is a good thing. This book led to us really problem solving our day to day living between my husband and myself and our religions. This book was a great starting point for discussions. I particularly liked the questions that provided a starting point for discussions. I also liked the stories of other couples and how they handled their differences. I liked the ideas that this book has for different ways to handle different religions. One thing we learned was to focus on the similarities and go from there. We were also reminded that this is a multi cultural/mulit religion world and that to get along we need to learn to respect and understand other religions. Very good. What a great way to start this type of discussion. |
