The authors use common sense along with scientific studies.
Marilyn Dalrymple
As expected, this book is amazing in its depth of information in regards to nutrition and physical health aspects of sexuality.

I think that does, however, give you a good sense of what the book contains.

7 Keys to Lifelong Sexual Vitality: The Hippocrates Institute Guide to Sex, Health, and Happiness is a fact-based book that explains the keys to good health and good sex.

The seven keys listed are:

Understand Your Sexuality
Imagine Your Sexuality
Express Your Sexuality
Protect Your Sexuality
Nourish Your Sexuality
and Prolong Your Sexuality

The book goes into each area completely and thoroughly. Authors Brian R. Clement, PHD NMD, LN and Anna Maria Clement, PHD, NMD, LN make their points using studies and noting their sources, but they do all this in plain English, not medical terms that some of us may have a hard time understanding.

They discuss sex myths such as "menopause means the end of sexual desire," and explain why this is a myth. They list questions to ask yourself to see of you are suffering a loss of sexual desire, and if so, what you can do to correct the situation.
The subjects of supplements and diet are discussed at length and the authors even included some recipes. Massage, guided imagery and suggestions for invigorating the libido are included.

I like this book because it is interesting, factual and even entertaining. Boxes throughout the book ask questions like, "Want to Implant a 'Sex Chip' in Your Brain?" The answers to the questions are given, of course, and in this case, the authors tell how to implant a sex chip in your brain.

Other boxes hold information like, "Exercise: Detox Your Body, Energize Your Sexuality." The topic is explained - detoxing your body - why it is important (we face a toxic onslaught during our lives), and methods used to detox our bodies are listed.

Sexuality is explained in detail and scientific support for things said, is given.

This is a very different sexual "how-to". There are no naked pictures, no explicit instructions involving whipped cream or plastic wrap. Instead there is a real-world, seven step protocol for increasing sexual functioning and well-being. I paraphrase liberally, and seriously understate the case, when I say that the seven steps are: get the facts, use your imagination, don't negate basic instincts, adopt a healthy lifestyle, eat a sex-friendly diet, explore sacred sexuality, and keep ageism out of your sex life. I think that does, however, give you a good sense of what the book contains.

The Doctors Clement are both PhD's, certified nutritionists, and naturopathic doctors. The book is filled with scientific research supporting the premises on which their practices rest. The "wellness spa" which they founded three decades ago has attracted hundreds of thousands of people. Their marriage has, to date, produced four children and two grandchildren. They write from experience, on every level.

The information in the book is cutting-edge, myth-busting, and provides answers to the questions that you might have been afraid to ask. What's the thousand-pound gorilla in the lives of many baby boomers? Which modern therapeutic technique (described in detail in the book) has been successful in treating both erectile and orgasmic dysfunction? What commonplace New Age practice has proven very effective in improving sexual vitality? What fruit might turn out to be a natural Viagra? Why does iceberg lettuce enhance intimacy? What's the best aphrodisiac? Those answers, and more, lie within the pages of this power-packed new book.

Another fantastic book by Drs Anna Maria & Brian Clement. A must read book from a Hippocrates Health Institute perspective, for everyone. The benefits from sex, including boosting your immune system, are amazing and just a small section of this informative book. Learn the truth about sexuality and how to nourish it, for a life time of healthy sex.

This book deals with all aspects of sexuality. The approach mirrors that of Hippocrates Health Institute's approach to individual health by dealing with the mind, body and spirit. As expected, this book is amazing in its depth of information in regards to nutrition and physical health aspects of sexuality. It was the mental and spiritual aspects of sexuality that took this book to another level. This is one of the few books on the subject of sexuality that will help everyone and yet offend no one.
