I'm an Idiot, June 29, 2010
This review is from: Keys to the Repository (Hardcover)
Yes I said it, I'm an idiot. I saw this book on my recommended list, saw it was on sale for a pre-order price of 8.99 and went 'wow new Blue Bloods novel on sale sweet' and purchased click. Eagerly pumped and ready for the new Jack and Schuyler novel/novella I opened it and went... this doesn't look right. I then proceeded to be completely disappointed that it was just what it stated... the keys to the repository that is Blue Bloods. I was ticked and put the book down. Later I came back and opened it, this time expecting it to be a type of guide book. Here's what I found.
It has some pretty good detailed bios of the characters including Lawrence and Cordelia. It also... thank god... has some shorts in it from Jack and Schuyler's perspective along with other characters like Dylan and Kingsley. I then had to change my initial thought of the book. It is a good taste in between Blue Blood novels. It also goes in depth to some of the holes from the last couple books. It also gives a good list of all the secondary characters in the series, which is actually really helpful to refresh memories. So give it a chance, and remember, don't make my mistake not actually reading the caption or paying attention to the forums.

Great addition to the series., June 30, 2010
This review is from: Keys to the Repository (Hardcover)
I want to start this off by agreeing with Melissa's introduction, one of the best things about being so in love with a series, is standing by it and wanting to know everything about it. When i become so immmersed in character and novels i want to devour all i can about those books, i want to know everything i can about... everything. And thats why i found that i absolutely loved Keys. It isn't a sequel in the series, its considered a companion. It's sort of like extras on a DVD, there's deleted scenes and sneak peaks, and how its made (where she got the main idea and certain little ones). It was fantastic, it was an insider look into the series, including a part i loved the most, maps. Of the NYC and where everyone's houses were and etc. The sneak peaks to the new wolf pack series and the up coming sequel were also awesome. The best part was really learning all the side stuff about the "bad" guys.
I really recommend this to everyone who has read the Blue Bloods series, again its not a sequel its a companion, but its SO much FUN that its worth picking up, now when you read the series and all the upcoming sequels, you know all the ins and outs, you can feel like maybe you yourself could be a Blue Blood.

Keys to the Repository, December 4, 2010
This review is from: Keys to the Repository (Hardcover)
I always enjoy when an author writes a companion book to a series; and that's exactly what this book is. It helps to have a more in-depth knowledge about the characters you begin to fall in love with. So, to have a book give us even more of an in-sight to these characters lives is just fantastic. Not to mention, when you run across a moment in a book where things just haven't completely pieced together in your mind, to have a book to pick up from a conversation that was never completed or a situation that was vaguely explained just makes the world a difference. Thus, any unanswered questions or thoughts get resolved or continued. All in all, I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys this series and it's a great addition to the collection.
