It is a good handbook for writing. It is brief, to the point and easy to follow. Great tips for research and becoming an improved writer.

This book is laid out and designed to be used for quick reference regarding grammar, citations, etc. with information in well organized sections. This book is similar to many other writing `handbooks', it is important to know which one your professor would like you to use. It had plenty of information for MLA, but it glosses over other styles rather quickly.

If you are someone who hates Writing and basically don't know in what format you should write your articles then you should buy this book. My English Professor recommended this book strongly for me and so far it is been great. "buy it you won't regret it"

This is the most quickly referenced guide for MLA, APA, CBE, Chicago and CGOS documentation! A must have for all college students!

This book (or something like it) is a must for an author's reference library.

It talks about the writing process: how to get started, writing drafts, editing. It talks about structuring sentences, punctuation, mechanics, etc.

It's got red tab dividers, so you can easily consult the book.

A good handbook to have.

This is a fine, sensibly organized reference that our institution assigns as a text for English courses. One observation/wish: style manuals have apparently joined the planned obsolescence category along with textbooks. A naked grab at dollars and frustrating to students wishing to learn correct citation procedure that lasts for two to four years of school. I know I know "online resources have changed everything" but I think some common ground could be agreed upon and stick for awhile longer than it does.

I got this book because it was a requirement for my college class and I was hesitant to buy it but I'm so glad I did. This is a great book and even though this is my first English class, I've learned so much from this book that it has given me the confidence to write any type of paper. I recommend this product to anyone.

This manual is great for any piece of writing. It is very helpful even when editing or proofreading. You won't regret having bought this book.

I purchased this book for an English course three years ago. Unfortunately, sometime in the last year or so, I lost it. I actually had to buy it again because I keep going to the bookshelf to reference it, and then remember it's not there. This book is just as useful in my everyday life as it once was in college. You probably need it too.

My daughter used the 4th edition in high school English class and loved it so much that she wanted the next version for college. It seems easy to use and a good reference.
