I reviewed all of the iPod docks available at the time and chose this one for the value and what features I really needed. The remote works great with all of the essential functions and its nice being RF instead of IR so no pointing it at the dock/stereo. The dock set up easily although you'll need a S cable if you want to view photos, which I haven't even tried to do yet...not sure how that works. But as an iPod charger with remote to play music keeping the iPod continuously or easily connected to your stereo, its great and much less costly than many of the competing products which most are way over priced.

I choose this dock because it offers more features (RF Remote with more buttons/functions) than the Apple iPod Dock + Charger + Remote and it is ~$40 cheaper. I would have been more happy with the normal RCA output instead the S-Video but it's still OK. The remote and the output doesn't work without powering it but I could get used to it... If you you have lots of playlist on your iPod you will enjoy the remote's extended features.

I bought this unit to hook my 2G Nano up to my Yamaha receiver. Very compact and stylish (I got the black one), and I don't have to crank the receiver all the way up to get any volume! The remote works just as promised. Very good product for the price.

The kit comes in a surprising small package. The Dock itself, the Remote Control, the USB Cable, very tiny Power Supply Plug, and the Audio Cables, together ith a single piece of paper of instruction cum user guide. You may say "Is that it??". But that is it, and you would need no more than those.

Installation was simple and easy, I got it hooked up in less than 10 minutes after unpacking the package. Immediately I could enjoy the music I had stored in my iPod from my home theatre system, something I had wanted to do for a long, long while. This AV Dock had made it happen, and it was so easy. And the sound was good enough.

One thing perhaps Keyspan could make better is the Audio Cables, they could definitely be better. Perhaps sound could be delivered with better cables. I have not yet tried to supplement it with better cables, but I had installed the Dock only a couple of days ago, so may be that would be my next course of actions.

In any case, I am happy and satisfied with the purchase. And for anyone who would like to listen his/her music at home without eh use of the earphones, this one is a good yet inexpensive alternative.

If you are an ipod fan like me, you are going to love this item.
You can control most ipod funtions, including the volume.
The remote control is more than great, there is not need to point at the dock to change songs or any of the other features. I recomend this AV Dock.

Works as advertised. Plugging the RCA jacks into my preamp put it into perspective; the wires connecting my CD player to my preamp cost more than this device! Oh well, it does work, but I think the other components of my system are offended by it. The sound quality is decent. The remote is very nice and works anywhere in my house. I thought about building a high end HTPC, but this was a lot easier.

So I got this product to help me change songs while I'm in the shower. I got the BLACK Keyspan AV Dock with RF Remote. Works great with all my iPods and iPhone. The unit is connected to my Stereo system. So I had to put up the volume a little bit higher then normal. This allows me to control the volume down from the remote if the songs gets too loud for me. Slip the RF remote in a tight waterproof zip lock bag and my stereo is connected to the bathroom speakers.. Bam! Musical Shower to my ears.

Cons: It's a little bit pricey, you can still get a buzzing feedback from the iPhone if the phone mode is on. Sometimes it takes about a second or two for the AV Dock to respond from the remote. Since, I place the AV dock next to my stereo. I can't view my selection list of songs when I'm in the shower. I just preselect my Playlist before hand.

Overall, it's a pretty good dock. Easy to use and the functions works

This is a great dock/remote combination. The range is excellent. I use it to control my nano (gen2) in my living room from my dining room (about 20 feet away through a wall), and it works great. The remote is very full-function. It allows scrolling through playlists, turning the iPod on or off, and volume control. The one negative is the relatively high price versus, e.g., the cheaper Griffin remotes.

This is such a simple way to get all the music you want on to an old music system. I've had my stereo since they were called stereos (and it had a actual turntable connected once). Since every song I like is on my Nano - and not all are on CD's, I wanted to hear them at home and not just directly in my ears. I tried just wiring the Nano into the inputs, but that was useless. This dock let me play the songs and the remote is great. I've since had to replace the old stereo and the dock is now the centerpiece of the system.

This product works just great, it gives you a very good docking solution
to your iPod.
Two things could be even better: instead of giving just one S-VHS output,
it could give a normal RCA output too.
And they could supply one S-VHS with it, it's not expansive to include it
and it would avoid you having to go to a store just to buy one cable.
So, if you're gonna buy it, remember to buy one S-VHS cable too!
