5.0 out of 5 stars Works as advertised... and more
Bought this unit to use with my Apple Newtons... and it worked great. Many adapters won't, so whatever circuitry is in this is very clean. Quite pleased!

1.0 out of 5 stars Keyspan USB Twin Serial Adapter
Didn't work with MTP AV and Mac OSX.6. Motu said it wouldn't either. I wasted my time and money. Might be a great buy for someone who has an older operating system. bah!

5.0 out of 5 stars The fix for old Mac serial printers, February 14, 2011
This review is from: USB Twin Serial Adapter (Personal Computers)
Your Apple iMac or MacBook only has USB ports, but your old Apple printer only has a serial interface with the mini-DIN 8 connector, right? There's no need to throw out a perfectly good printer. As long as you don't have to network the printer (OS X 10.6 doesn't support Appletalk), and you intend to connect the printer directly to your Mac, this adapter will do the job. In other words, don't expect to use this adapter with the USB ports on an Airport Extreme or Express.

The adapter requires a driver to be installed before attempting to configure your printer. It's included on a CD, or you can also download it from Keyspan (now Tripp-Lite). If you Google USA-28xg you'll find the site easily enough.

5.0 out of 5 stars RS422 Serial Adapter, August 30, 2008
This review is from: USB Twin Serial Adapter (Personal Computers)
The Keyspan products that I have used all seem to be good. I needed an RS422 serial adapter to work under Linux, and this one is just fine. It's made for a Mac, but I used it for a different application. The Keyspan drivers for Windows do not attach to this adapter - that would have been a plus. The case had to be modified slightly to fit the DIN8 plugs I had.
