The Time Wars series by Simon Hawke is an interesting, though rather silly concept - settling current international conflicts by sending soldiers to the past to fight in already-fought wars. Nevertheless, the adventure involved in characters going back to fix time when somebody breaks the rules and changes history, is worth suspending disbelief.
