The series actually starts to grow on you after watching a few episodes and you begin to connect with the characters and their journey throughout the series especially with the two main friends/adversaries Zed(A Young man trying to find his way in the world and fighting his feelings of isolation) and Noah(Zed's best and seemingly only friend from the present world but suffers from a severe physical handicap and feelings of his own inadequacies with Zed). The amazon editorial gives the basic story plot for the series for the most part and except for some small personal subplots there isn't really much else in the series. The animation is good and the voice cast for both the English and Japanese actors/actresses were very good as well, the battle scenes are very reminiscent of other series like YI-GI-OH or Pokeman as the characters use beings called spirits to help in their fights. The only complaint I have is with ADV films as they once again package this four dvd set in a one dvd case with a four inch spindle to stack the dvd's on top of one another where they're sure to get scratched up unless you put them in individual cases, I know many anime studios are also feeling the pinch of the financial problems of these two years as any other business but there has to be a way to save money and do a good job on these box sets they sell. Still after all that the series is still a good choice for anyone's anime library so if you're looking for a decent action anime with a pretty decent story here's a good one to look at...

This is a series that's definately worth collecting. It had me hooked the moment I began watching it. Action galore with twists here and there that'll keep you watching right until the last episode.
