Great soundtrack, though not "complete",

This review is from: Kick-Ass: Music From The Motion Picture [Explicit] (MP3 Download)
If you're reading this, then you've likely seen the movie and you know why you're gonna get this soundtrack. It's a great compilation, you will be happy. So let me cover the two relatively minor reasons I gave it 4 stars instead of 5:1) It's missing a few of the memorable songs from the movie. As noted by another commenter, this includes "Crazy" by Gnarls Barkley. Two others were John Murphy's original music from Big Daddy's warehouse scene and the later "live streaming" warehouse scene. These songs were variations of "In The House - In A Heartbeat" and "Sunshine (Adagio In D Minor)", which can respectively be found on the 28 Days Later soundtrack and the Sunshine soundtrack (currently only on iTunes). 2) Also noted by another commenter, some tracks include excerpts from the movie before the song begins. I actually like this a lot, as it helps give movie context to the song, which definitely enhances the soundtrack for me. Not everyone might agree, though. These clips could have been included as separate "in-between" tracks (like on the Pulp Fiction soundtrack), instead of as track intros, and everyone would be happy.

Four tracks total missing from the soundtrack...,
By Also, the Kill Bill and Pulp Fiction soundtracks pull it off really well too. But in Kick-Ass it falls a bit flat, they really should have used the correct piece of dialogue on the correct songs and in the right spots. For instance at the begining of the Banana Splits song in the film Hit-Girl says "Are you ready, you c**ts" and I think that should have been on it at the begining while the actual one that was used should have been placed at the end of the song because that's where it falls in the movie. I just think personally the producer's could have done a much much better job with placing and choosing dialogue and putting it in the correct spots. To correct a reviewer above the "In a Heartbeat" track by John Murphy appears in the segment when Big Daddy is shown killing off goons on video and Red Mist, his dad and the corrupt cop are watching. I would love to know what the name of the actual track IS when Hit-Girl is hiding behind the statue though. Also there are two classical music pieces that are not on the soundtrack as well. One is called the Seville Overture (Act 2) or something like that and I couldn't make out the name of the other from the credits. One piece can be heard when Big Daddy and Hit-Girl put the informer in the car crusher. The other is played when the man is microwaved to death. And the only other song missing is "Crazy" So not including the score for the film there are a total of Four tracks missing from the soundtrack. Two classical pieces of music, Crazy and the piece from the statue scene... The version of Bad Reputation used in the movie by the Hit-Girls DOES appear on the soundtrack, I think that Amazon just forgot to list it. Personally I would love for the complete score to be released also. The instrumental music in the film was just as great as the soundtrack music.

Awesome movie and tunes...but missing a song,

I love the soundtrack to this movie but it doesn't include the tune that Kick-ass and Red Mist were listening to in the Mistmobile. I found out that the song is "Crazy" by Gnarls Barkley.
