This is not an easy-to-use text. Only Kickapoo stems are listed alphabetically, not the full words, and the English-to-Kickapoo index at the end of the book is awkward. There's no pronunciation or grammatical guide. On the other hand, there's a wealth of vocabulary here for anyone with the patience to flip pages back and forth repeatedly. If you really want to learn more about Kickapoo you'll need both this book and Voorhis _Introduction to the Kickapoo Language_ (ISBN# 0877501777), which contains the grammar and pronunciation information you'll need.
