As an educator, I've always admired Shel Silverstein's work.....especially the off-beat children's books. As a collector of music, it is a kick to find Silverstein work combined with the talents of some of Nashville's greatest players and personalities. I'm not inclined to run out and buy truckin' CD's, but I'm glad I found this one. Joe Sun's "Lovin' you is like fryin' bacon buck naked" and Sheb Wooly's "I don't look good naked anymore" are a hoot. Combine this with some really good Bobby Bare and Del Reeves selections makes for a thoroughly enjoyable assembly of songs. Shel made a great decision in assembling this crew for one of his final projects.

This is the best truckers CD I have ever heard. Truckers and non truckers will enjoy this. It's great music with comedy mixed in.

This CD is a must for all truckers. The two songs by Bobby Bare, "This is as far as I go" and "World's Last Truck Driving Man" are worth the price of the CD.

Although he does not sing any of the songs on this album, Shel Silverstein's spirit is felt in the Truckin' theme. Shel did write eight of the twenty-one songs on the CD, all performed by veteran country stars. I'm a big truck driving music fan, and I just love it.

Great Collection of Trucking Songs all in ONE CD!!! Looked for the Bobby Bare Song "Six Days Back at Home" everywhere & this was the only place I found it!

Truckers, wannabe or otherwise, or just folks wanting a good laugh NEED this CD! "BAD GAS" and "SIX DAYS AT HOME...READY FOR THE ROAD TONITE" are two that spoke to the old long hauler in me, but I sure enjoy all of it. Since you had the interest to read this I know you will too.

I am the last person who would ever be drawn to some silly truck driving CD but I love Shel Silversteins work and I like Ray Stevens type parody songs. This album had me "cryin' on the highway"! Get it and have some good laughs
