Self serving egotism runs rampant!,
By Ashra (Canada) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Kicking Ass in Canadian Politics (Hardcover)
This is self serving promotional literature that is written in a smarmy, self absorbed tone by a guy who apparently thinks far more highly of himself than his actual accomplishments (slim as they are) actually warrant.Get a book by a real political figure and don't waste your time here.

Great, but for political insiders only,

This review is from: Kicking Ass in Canadian Politics (Hardcover)
Personally, I found it interesting because I work in politics and have ran election campaigns. Actually it is more of a text book than anything else. I wouldn't recommend it to the average Canadian citizen who is looking for a good read.

This guy is such a self-important dweeb. Buy any book by James Carville and save yourself the hassle.

This book lives it up almost its name as the book could also be written for Americans by Canada's "Prince of Darkness". Although I am a conservative, I am more of a good government conservative than anything else and like the spunk Warren Kinsella and his troopers showed. One part of the book I like is clearly defining what is negative (as in smears) and what is accountable (as in explaining a record) politics. I, of course, also like the war room stories. |
