Kicks Japan by Manami Okazaki is the most interesting books about Japanese sub-cultures I've ever read.
The photography is some of the best you will ever see and the interviews and histories of the designers and manufacturers is not only interesting, but captivating as well.
If want to learn something news, and you want something that will keep your attention, this book is it.
I ordered my copy in Afghanistan and everyone who comes in my office picks it up and loves it.
This is one cool book.
