Cups have been redesigned, no more leaks!!,
By Monique (West Olive, MI) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Safe Sippy Blue (Baby Product)
I chose these cups because they are BPA and phthalate free. The cups have been redesigned to prevent leaking and I have not had any problems with ANY leaking. I am very pleased with the quality of them, when I first received the cup I was unsure if my son would like the sippy spout, it is kind of like a straw. My son could not drink out of a straw yet so I was worried he would not get the hang of the cup, but I was wrong, he took to it immediately and loves the cups, and you can use them with or without the handles. I love that they are dishwasher safe, unlike Foogo cups, which leaked even though I hand-washed them. I think these cups are definitely worth the price!

I LOVE THIS CUP,

I love this cup and so does my son. I believe the bad reviews are due to the lack of understanding how to put the cup together. I learned that most problems with Travel Mugs and Sippy Cups are user error. I have thrown out SO many travel coffee mugs that leaked until I realized it was my own faullt. This cup has two very important components to it. One - the ring in the top of the lid - it must be in place. After putting through the dishwasher the ring will move - just needs to be adjusted. The second component is the stopper - it must be pushed in all the way. Once those two things are securely in place - you can shake, throw, and bounce this thing and it does not leak. It has not for me anyway. Enjoy!

Daughter loves this cup.,
This review is from: The Safe Sippy Blue (Baby Product)
I bought this sippy because i wanted my daughter to have a cup without BPA toxins. She loves it. It is cool and cute. She calls it her bottle cup. It is very durable. It is worth the money.

No Leaks, Tot Loves,

A friend gave me this cup, so I did not buy it.
NO LEAKS I haven't had any of the leaking problems that other people have complained about. If I push the valve securely into the lid, it does not pop out when the cup is dropped... although I'm sure a tremendous whack would still be able to dislodge it. DECENT DESIGN Unlike another reviewer, I like that the handles are not attached. It gives me the option to go without if I want a more svelt cup to throw into the diaper bag. I'm not entirely thrilled with the straw looking spout because it's kind of confusing... is it a sippy cup? is it a straw cup? But it works... as a sippy cup. APPROVED My daughter loves this cup for whatever the reason, so it stays in our rotation. Personally, I wouldn't pay the price for this cup, but it is the only stainless steel sippy we own, and that makes it a very nice choice.

Safe sippy,

I purchased this sippy for my one year old. So far it's been great. Minimal leaking and she seems to prefer this over the plastic sippy cup we were using.

5 stars if it were made in the US, not China,
This review is from: The Safe Sippy Blue (Baby Product)
I was a little hesitant to try this cup b/c of some of the negative reviews I've read here and elsewhere; however, we bought one today and my 3 year old couldn't wait to wash it and use it. He loves it. We were looking for an alternative to his plastic sippy cups b/c of the leaching concerns with BPA. We have used the SIGG brand bottles for a long time and find that they are great for water, but not for juice with some pulp. The Safe Sippy directions say not to use with a pulpy juice, but we've had no problems and my son says it's easy to drink with it (note: his juice is the Odwalla green juice with water added). I actually ordered three more today b/c I officially pitched the various plastic models we have been using. Hopefully I'll sleep better tonight :) I would give this a 5 star, but I have a real problem with the fact that it is made in China. I simply wasn't able to find an alternative made in the US or Europe. My issue is not with craftsmanship (this cup actually seems to be made quite well), it is a philosophical difference I have with the country on the whole (e.g. ethics, our trade policy).

All sippy cups leak
I own this sippy cup now and i was thinking of returning it but when my 2 year old saw it he seemed to like it so i gave it a try.....and kept it. This sippy cup does leak if you do not close it properly there is three parts to it when you pull it apart to wash it the is a ring, the suction part, and how to put the cap back on the right way so if you do not want to deal with all of this i will recommend to not buy it, i put up with all of this because i know its a safe cup for my little one to drink from so you just have to get the hang of it... i am still trying to figure it out myself.....

It's Great!,

My son and I both like it. He likes the handles, the colors, and just generally drinking out of it. I like that it's lightweight, sturdy, leaks minimally when held upside down (and in my experience, all sippy cups leak at least a little), and that the lid screws on fairly easily. I also like that the handles come off in case he ever decides he's too old for handles. |
