5.0 out of 5 stars Finally there are words to describe them! April 9, 2012
By Todd
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I got this on Kindle fire, I'm an uncle 10 times over & I got this to lighten up some of the many "kid friendly" events. It's such a hit, funny words that perfectly capture common behaviors of kids & their parents. Several of these words will provide parents with a strategic advantage, things you won't learn in the usual "how-to" parent guides.

We even started making a game of it by trying to guess what the word means just from hearing it, then trying to use it in a sentence... Dad knew he'd have to Carnivoid his way to the store & back, or spend $100 on games, rides & cotton candy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect gift for a new parent September 12, 2012
Format:Paperback
I just received this book as a birthday gift from a dear friend. As a new mom... I needed a laugh. This book is packed with hilarious words and relatable definitions. The author has done a great job of summing up what having kids is all about. My husband and I have found ourselves making up our own fun words to sum up our son's behavior. This is a great book for any parent or parent-to-be.

3.0 out of 5 stars Funny and Light March 26, 2012
Format:Paperback
When I first brought my son home from the hospital. My first thought was they are sending us home with a baby? Are they crazy! Teach and I looked at each other and said, "now what do we do?" You hear people say all the time, they wish the baby came with a manual. Well people, as the babies turn into kids we realize the baby part was THE easy part. Umm...humor is what gets me through as a mom. Kids are naturally funny and this book is perfect for anyone who spends any amount of time with kids. Did you know that a Hairricane is a girls knotty, messy hair and the ensuing tantrums that erupt when her mother tries to comb them out?? Now you do!

Adorable pocket size book with whimsical, nonsensical words that actually might make complete sense to you when you read them! I'm a parent and I knew about 85% of them although I didn't know there were actual words for them. Made up a couple of my own along the way too!

Great gift idea or just for a fun read!

5.0 out of 5 stars Funny and So True! March 13, 2012
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
My wife and I just love this book. She was looking for something to get her friend after she had her second child -- just wanted to get her a little something to make her laugh. And this more than did the trick, we were all cracking up when she read them out loud. The definitions are so funny and so dead on. My Favorite is: "carnivoid: To alter your driving route when the kids are in the car so as not to pass by a carnival that is in town." We have totally done that! Lots more I just can't remember them all. You won't be disappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Jenny Erds March 8, 2013
Format:Paperback
Are you experiencing Radardianship with your child? What about Dadefy? If the answer is yes, I feel for you my friend. If the answer is no, well la-de-da for you. If your answer is "Jenny, what are you talking about? Have you dipped into the Mommy's Time Out wine a bit early today?" My answer is HOW DARE YOU, and yes, but that is irrelevant! I am about tell you about a book that will give you a new vocabulary on what your child does on a daily basis. Weather that action is cute, annoying or about to drive you nuts you now have a word to describe it and no, they are not curse words. The Kid Dictionary is filled with words that describe the once un-named actions of our adorable kids for example:
Radardianship: A child's notion that it is his or her parents' responsibility to know the precise whereabouts of any of her things at any given time: Radardianship
Every word in this book is unique, every definition of the word will be instantly understood by anyone with a child, grandchild, niece, nephew , god son, god daughter, or your cousin kids twice removed. Whats even more important is it is funny, witty, unique, and a feel good read for parents that may have just about have had it with their children Dadefy-ing (showing their power by doing something you asked them to do as slooooowly as possible) them at every turn! This is a must have on my book shelf along with my Christmas list! I suggest you go and read it now yourself and then buy tons and tons of copies for everyone you know. NOW!
