This game is mediocre. We got it at Costco for $10, and that's about all it's worth. The controls are a bit glitchy, one of the games is almost impossible for me, my husband, or my mom to figure out (I did get it to work ONCE, just not sure how...), another will obviously take a LOT of practice, even for me, and 2 of the games are actually the same with different graphics. One's a bit harder.

On the other hand, the graphics are super cute, and my 4 year old seemed to have a lot of fun. It's pretty easily navigated by him. A couple of the games honestly did give a super good workout, and it's nice that there's multiplayer mode so I can play along with him.

We just got our Wii last week, and haven't played many "kid" games, so maybe this is what they're all like. For me though, kid's games are allowed to be boring for adults, but they shouldn't have unresponsive controls or games so hard that the parent can't do them at all.

Overall, for $10, it's something special for my kids, and maybe that's worth it, but you really get what you pay for in this one. I wouldn't spend the full $20.

We also got Active Life Explorer, and that's MUCH more kid friendly and fun for all of us. And a better workout.

***Update***
This game (along w/ Active Life Explorer) is the one that my son chooses on a regular basis when he gets some Wii time. Since it's made for kids, and not adults, I figure that if he enjoys it so much, they must have done something right. I would say closer to 3 1/2 stars. I would like to up it to 4, but he doesn't even bother with a few of the games because they don't interest him/are too confusing. But he truly has a blast with the ones he plays! Especially the treasure hunt, which is basically a race, so definitely gets him moving.

I too purchased this game at Costco and we played through all the games. I thought it a waste of money. My kids, 6,4 and 2 did not "get" the game ... and after trying out each game, never picked it up again. I actually spent the time to look up the game on Amazon to review it so that you wouldn't waste you money too!!

It is disappointing. Although the wii remote works OK with this game, the wii balance board is not. There's always an error when I tried to connect with the balance board. The wii balance board still works great with other wii games so I don't think it's the balance board problem. My son still likes this game, though.

The kid received this as a birthday gift. My favorite charity will soon find this in a box from us.
It's complicated to setup. Graphics are not well done. Your money is better spent on Nickelodeon Fit or Wii Sports Resort. Much less hassle!

My kids 14, 5 & 4 very much enjoy Wii Fit Plus. They all play it and have a blast. Even my 4 year old is very good at most of them. We thought for his birthday we would get him a kid related fitness game. I wrongly assumed that character interaction of Kid Fit Island Resort would be just like Wii Fit Plus. The games are boring, the balance board interaction seems to be nothing more than an after thought. It is difficult to figure out how you are supposed to use the controllers and balance board to get the characters do what they are supposed to do. Spend your money on a different game.

Ok so I didn't buy it, but my mom did, for my niece as some of the games on the Wii Fit Plus were a bit too difficult for her. There's only 10 games, 2 appear to be the same thing just different graphics, so it was more like 9 games.

The Wii Balance Board took forever to connect to it. We had to try like 10 times to get it to work. So the others who say it doesn't work or have had difficulty, they're right.

This game isn't worth the $14.99 that was spent on it. Rather to me, it's only worth $5 at most.

... and I'm donating it rather than give it to the kids in my life. I seriously dislike this game. I was hoping for Wii Fit style activities in an island setting, but this is so clunky there's no comparison. It doesn't use your Mii, and has a seriously limited choice of avatars (2 possible females -- but hey, you can put hats on them). Worst, though, is that the activities weren't particularly good for exercise anyway. I had a good experience with "Walk it Out," which looked to be marketed to kids/families, so I took a chance on this, and I regret it. Try Wii Resort instead.
