My nephew LOVES this little R/C digger! He is three and loves ALL diggers and construction type play vehicles, but this was his first R/C vehicle. He actually got a couple of other types of R/C vehicles for his third birthday, but seems to like this one the best. It has a lot of "play value" even when not using the R/C. Then, of course, he loves the main feature of being able to use the digger with the R/C. So far the toy seems very durable, and it's nice that it comes with a play set that includes a few other accessories (boulders to mover around and road blocks to make the "play" more realistic)! It was very easy for him to figure out his first time playing with it, and we had a hard time getting him back to opening other gifts after he opened that one, so you might want to make this the last gift in the "line-up!" :-) Hope your little one ejnoys it as much as ours!

I purchased the Kid Galaxy My First Radio Control Excavator for my 3 yr. old grandson in large part because of the excellent reviews from other buyers. My grandson loved the toy but the performance has been very inconsistent. If the car was inadvertently left on, it would suddenly come to life and move as though being controlled by an extraterrestrial being. On the other hand, when we actually wanted the toy to move, the remote sometimes worked and sometimes didn't, depending on who picked it up, and perhaps on the time of day. We were never able to figure out the system even though several people with college degrees were involved in solving the problem. The thing that I am most unhappy about is the difficulty I've had getting any resolution to the problem either in the way of an exchange or a refund since the holiday season is now over. The IDigToy company claims that I exceeded the 2 week return time frame since I purchased the toy for Christmas a couple of weeks before and by the time the gift was opened on Christmas Day, it was already too late for the return. This is a terrible policy. I think Amazon is working on helping me resolve this, but I will definitely NOT be purchasing another toy from that particular company. I am terribly disappointed in the whole situation.

I picked this toy out for my grandson. He loves it. It is a very durble toy.

My 2-1/2 year old son received this for Christmas. He & his older siblings have been playing with it non-stop. It has just the right controls for him to be able to operate on his own. It doesn't have but a 7 foot range on the receiver, but it hasn't bothered him. Great gift for toddlers.

This toy goes back and forth but is impossible to have any control over where it goes. The bucket arm is so loose that you can't keep it off the floor and it looks like you have to dismantle it to tighten it up.
