Two-Button Remote Control for Easy Operation

Children will delight in driving around the Jumbo Fire Truck with the simple two-button remote control. The top button drives the truck forward, while the bottom button rotates the truck in a tight turn. The fire truck-red radio controller has a wheel-shaped design that is easy for small hands to grip.

Soft, Squeezable Exterior is Child-Safe

The Jumbo Fire Truck's body is constructed of soft, squeezable plastic, reducing the potential for inflicting pain or damage on impact. Your walls and furniture won't be at risk of being scuffed or scratched like with faster or harder-bodied RC cars. The soft material also adds durability, absorbing some of the impact of a crash or drop.

Fire Truck Details for Realistic Fun

This bright red truck features details like those on a real-life fire truck. The truck's molded body includes a sculpted ladder on either side and a coiled fire hose shape on the back. The truck has a chunky shape that is easy for little hands to grasp.

Operating the Jumbo Fire Truck

Thanks to its two-button remote control, our testers found operating the Jumbo Fire Truck to be very straightforward. The truck can only turn right, so going left requires a 270-degree rotation. Inserting batteries in the truck and controller requires a small Phillips screwdriver.

I, myself, loved the looks of this cute firetruck, so I thought my granddaughter would go nuts over it. She did at first and giggled and giggled when she easily maneuvered it with the clever wheel-shaped remote control. But once the novelty wore off, she was right back on her bed, playing with her dolls. :-)

Kid Galaxy My 1st RC GoGo Auto Jumbo Fire Truck is made of some kind of soft plastic that's softer like rubber, so it's perfectly safe for the little ones. I also like it because it seems durable and is her very first remote control toy. Learning to handle a remote control is good practive for when she comes of age for more techie products.

Yes, she still goes back to it during playtimes, so it is not neglected... I consider the pricing fair, also.

Vine Customer Review of Free Product ( What's this? )
My three-year-old loves all things cars and firetrucks, so I figured he'd go crazy for this product. After all, it's not only a firetruck, but one he could drive himself with the RC remote! What wasn't to love?

First off, the construction is great. The truck itself is quite large, and it's constructed from a pretty soft-sided plastic. I wasn't at all worried about my son ramming it into the walls or doorframes, and I haven't noticed any damage as a result of this happening. It looks really cute as it zooms around.

The remote is made of harder plastic and looks like a steering wheel with a big, white rocker switch in the middle. By pressing on the upper portion, the remote makes the truck move forward. Pressing on the lower portion makes the truck spin. It took a bit of explanation to get my son to figure out how to use the remote, as he tended to just push the forward button and get frustrated when the truck would run into an obstacle. Once we showed him how to make it turn, though, he was happier with it. The remote is the perfect size and shape for small hands.

But even though I'm very impressed with the construction and quality of the truck, my son didn't really take to it. He likes it and will place it with his other (smaller) cars and trucks, but he rarely uses the remote to move it around. This may just be due to personal preference, as he likes to arrange his cars and then move them around with his hands, so I wouldn't necessarily dissuade others from purchasing it for a child his age. Still, of all the toys he owns, this is one he doesn't play with very frequently.

It is a great, affordable toy for our 1 year old, the only issue and why i didnt give it 5 stars is that the remote has an antenna. The truck itself is completely child safe, soft, rubber, no sharp corners or anything, just wish they would have built the antenna into the remote, then it would have been compeltely child safe

I bought this for my 1 year old and guess what?! he enjoys it just as much as my 5-yr old. I would have loved it if this toy came with lights, but then again, that's just me. My kids don't seem deterred by that. The toy seems sturdy enough and moves slowly -- just right for my younger kid.

More geared for younger kids around 2 or so. The almost rubber like plastic exterior is nice. The remote is rather easy for a young child to operate (two buttons- forward and backwards). The backwards button steers the truck back, and slightly to the left, which gives you the ability turn around. It does not come with batteries, and takes two AA and one 9volt. My little one is playing with it now.

This truck is one of the nicest built toys for young children I have ever seen. It rivals the great quality of the Thomas the tank engine line from the late 90's that I bought my now teenaged son. I purchased this as a lightning deal on Black Friday for a neighbors family who have six young children under the age of 10. The dad works and the mom stays home yet they struggle to make ends meet while keeping up his deceased grandma's home where they live. The children are polite, respectful and play nicely together in their own yard which is more than I can say about most families today. I wanted to do something special for the kids this holiday season, so we decided to forgo a few Xmas gifts for ourselves to spend on the kids instead.
I read the reviews for the item and was skeptical about the quality until I received it. It is made of very sturdy rounded plastic and the separate remote is the perfect size for little hands. I was pleasantly surprised at how durable the unit is and ease in using it. Since the kids don't have a lot of toys, I'm sure this will be a big hit that the 5, 3, and 1 year old can share. It can be used both indoors and out.
I would recommend this item and the other Go Galaxy trucks for younger children and will add more after the holidays. It's a wonderful toy for grandparents to purchase for use in their homes and it's durable construction ensure it won't get broken when storing it for later play.

This fire truck was a big hit in my house with our 4 year old son and his 3 year old friend. The truck is oversized and slightly squishy, which prevents any mishaps when it inevitably runs into things. The remote control is simple to use and shaped like a steering wheel with one big rocker button that pushes forwards or back. The range is good and we didn't have any problems with interference, even when running another RC car with it and having lots of "crashes".
Great fun for kids about 2 and up.
