4.0 out of 5 stars Fun!
My daughter has a lot of fun with these cars. They take a lot of batteries between the 2 cars and two remotes but she loves that they "crash" . We've found the included ramps to be a bit useless, but it's not why we bought the toy. It's nice because it's not hard to share when things come in a set of two =)

2.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing
My huge complaint is that both cars are on the same frequency! So only one car can be driven at a time. The entire reason for my purchase was for the two cars, controlled by two kids, to be crashed into each other. Now two kids fight to crash one car into the my baseboards.

I got this to motivate a toddler to be totally potty trained as a reward. It worked. He only got to play with it when he used the potty. His father enjoys it equally and it takes two to make the toy really fun. This is one of those "bang for the buck" toys. Handeye coordination will develop quickly. Certainly helps daddy son bonding too.

3.0 out of 5 stars not for little kids, February 6, 2010

The cars stop running when they crash into something and their doors pop off. Then the kids come to you to "fix it" every 2 minutes. Not fun. Also, the cars and remote stay on when the kids give up and leave it lying on the floor so the batteries run out fast. Finally, one of the antennae has already broken off and the cars won't really run without that on the remote control. Not even sure how to approach fixing that. It would be more fun for older kids who could be more careful with the remote and who could put the doors back on themselves.

This product was one of Santa's big gifts last year to a 3 and 5 yr old and boy did it disappoint. The remote to one of the cars never did function properly - at all - and the plastic pieces didn't just pop out they pop off and then shatter. It was an utter waste of money and time trying to tinker with the remote to work. They go slowly, do not pop open like they are supposed to about 1/2 the time, aren't very exciting and I would not recommend this product to someone over age 3. Skip this toy - it is not worth it.

The batteries drain quickly no matter how much money you spend on them. Also, the doors busted off them both within a few hours of play. Not worth it.

Only one of the cars work at a time and though the package describes that it works together that is not the case it seems to be malfunctioning and faulty. It is supposed to work best by two remote control cars crashing together- that is not the case so so there was a very dissappointed 4 year old that received this gift for his birthday.
