Kid Galaxy Spin 'n' Go Fire Truck
Direct Traffic with a Fireman

With the Spin 'n' Go Fire Truck, kids learn how to coordinate motion with an object that moves in straight lines and in circles. The remote control wand has no buttons for direction--it only moves according to the way it is held and the way the spinning fireman is positioned.

To use, flip the switch on the bottom of the fire truck and press the "ON" button on the green "GO" side of the wand. When the wand is held vertically, the vehicle stops moving and the figure spins in circles. To direct the fire truck, wait until the fireman points in your desired direction, and then lower the controller. The vehicle will turn and drive where the fireman is pointing!

A New Way to Drive

The Spin 'n' Go Fire Truck uses a remote control system that is different than most remote control cars. There are no buttons involved in the driving process. Instead, movements similar to road traffic control are incorporated into the fun. The result is that the spinning fireman is able to steer the vehicle, but only with the help of your child. Because kids don't have complete control over the vehicle's steering, their cognitive and imaginative abilities are stimulated as they guess where the truck might turn next!

4.0 out of 5 stars A Great First Remote Control Toy for a Toddler September 28, 2011
Amazon Vine™ Review (What's this?)
Durability: 5.0 out of 5 stars    Educational: 3.0 out of 5 stars    Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
My 19-month old son loved this fire truck. It's a bit advanced for him to figure out exactly how to use the remote - the little fireman on top of the truck spins when you raise the controller straight up and down (vertical)- when the fireman points his hose in the direction you want the truck to move in, you lower the controller to a horizontal position. These steps are a little advanced for my son, but are likely to be better understood by a 2 1/2 - 3 year old. In addition, the little fireman spins too fast for even me to really control which direction he moves. Nonetheless, my son loves turning the fire truck on and off from the remote and while he can't intentionally control where the fire truck goes, he knows that by manipulating the remote, he's moving the fire truck in some direction and seems to really enjoy this. Overall, I think this is a great first remote control toy and will plan to buy it as a gift for 2-3-year olds.

2.0 out of 5 stars Doesn't work well October 21, 2011
Amazon Vine™ Review (What's this?)
Durability: 2.0 out of 5 stars    Educational: 2.0 out of 5 stars    Fun: 2.0 out of 5 stars
we acquired this for use in our preschool/daycare so it has really been put to the test. when first introduced to the group they all gravitated toward it immediately. Hey, kids love firetrucks. Where it really fell down was the remote works very poorly or not at all, despite having fresh batteries all around & following the instructions implicitly. After every daycare parent & ourselves couldn't make it work we just took the batteries out & use it as a unpowered push toy. As that it is rarely used.

3.0 out of 5 stars Well, it's durable September 28, 2011
Amazon Vine™ Review (What's this?)
Durability: 5.0 out of 5 stars    Educational: 3.0 out of 5 stars    Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
I tested this out on my nephew because my kids were too old or too small. This was a great learning toy for him in trying out a remote. It was very easy for him to use, and in a course of minutes he figured it out. The thing crashed down the slide, flew down the stairs, and rammed the walls. Still running. So, durability is there. No small parts either.

However, it doesmn't make the siren noises, which disapointed said nephew. It also takes a lot of batteries, 5 AAs. Of all the crazy things, it wouldn't work on the linoleum or hardwood, but worked fine on the carpet. Very strange. A cute toy for 12-18 months, not much older though.

3.0 out of 5 stars Cute for the firetruck enthusiast
This is a pretty simple RC vehicle. It doesn't do a whole lot, but that's ok for the very young set, perhaps age 2 would be best.
