Product Description
Keep children and pets safe from openings in banisters and balconies. Kid Shield is a clear shatterproof plastic sheet in a continuous roll. It is engineered for a scratch free finish and has a protective film that is removed after installation. It is 33" high and 15' long, a 5' roll is also available. 15 mils thick. All hardware included for easy installation. Bend and cut to length needed.

This product has worked well so far for my one-year-old. It is a little flimsy and I hope he does not figure out how to pull it down any time soon. The only problem was that I did not realize you are supposed to have 6 extra inches on the ends, but fortunately I had ordered just enough.

Great for outdated/older banisters. Easy to install, and does what it's intended to do. Keep your little one safe from accidental fall. If your child would intentially ram/run into it spend the money updating rails to code, otherwise it is sturdy enough to hold a toddler leaning against it.
I secured ours in a number of areas at every rail vs skipping a rail. You could have to purchase more zip ties from local hardware store, we didn't have too, but you could.

We have been using the Cardinal Gates Kid Shield Clear for a few weeks now and it works great! It makes me feel much better about my little girl leaning up against the railings. Plus, it stops her from throwing stuff down stairs! It looks great since it is clear and not that noticeable. Just have to clean the finger prints off of it every once in awhile.
